Has anyone seen any comments about game progress moving between console versions? It's likely I won't have a PS5 when the game is released, but I'm hoping that I won't lose any progress when move.

If you have PS Plus I think that the cloud should be able to carry over all your PS4 saves to PS5. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong with this.

Online save therefore yes you would be able to switch to a new console as long as your log in ID is the same as the one you use on PS4. I've been able to play GTS on a PS4 standard, PS4-pro and now a PS5.

......but in GTS, whether you're playing on the PS4 or PS5, its the same software.

With GT7, that will depend on whether or not they will allow cross-progression between the PS4 and PS5 copies of the game which are different. PS4 players can't use the PS5 copy but it seems PS5 players will be able to use either / or (which is why they offer both in the PS5 standard edition).

Having said that, EA/DICE allows this in their copies of BF2042 as your progression is tied through your EA account. It can even carry over between platforms whether it's PS, XB or PC.

My guess is that GT7 will be similar.

I‘ll have the PS4/PS5 25th Ann Deluxe digital I will be able to switch over from my base PS4, when I get a PS5. It’s just an upgrade. If all, theoretically, 100+ million GT7 PS4 users, lose their progress save when finally acquiring a PS5, I smell death for Sony. We’ll be fine.

The fact you can upgrade from ps4 to ps5 version for ten bucks says to me that saves will transfer. They have on every other game I've upgraded.
