So as of late I have been meeting a lot of you fellow members online in lobbies and in friendly competitions from known teams like Redsuns and fairly new teams like Alpine. I understand this forum is a good way for all of us to communicate and connect for organized events or just shoot the **** and talk about what went on that day online.

(So Devin where are you going with this?)

Well, some of you put up this elitist attitude on here and then act completely different in a lobby. I just want to say "Can we just chill out and act like we have some damn sense?" Ask yourself this, will you say that samething to this person if they were right there. I know this will not change peoples attitudes and there will always be idiots.

The always debated DS3 vs wheel users is the most annoying thing I have ever heard. This argument is like Reggie Miller and Larry Bird arguing over who has the best 3 pointer. In the end we are all doing the same damn thing DRIFTING learn to adapt and overcome people that's how life works as well.

Lastly, if you have a problem with a team or person instead of voicing it on here take it to PM and settle it in a battle. You don't want to settle it in a battle then squash whatever problem you have with said tam KR person because the mods nor anyone else cares to see it on here.

//end rant

What you say about the elitist attitude with GTP drifters has never come apparent to me. I've drifted with people from Burst, D-Max and Mallala and the only difference I see between them and a random in a lobby is that they will often act more "diplomatic", drift cleaner and tandem more. Then again I haven't drifted with every single person on GTP. What you say about the argument with wheels and DS3's is true i.e. quite pointless. To learn to drift on GT5 in any form wether with controller or wheel takes a lot of practice. A wheel would be more realistic because you drive a car in real life with a wheel but a DS3 user (like myself) can drift just as well as a wheel user but with less finesse.

Hey Davin... you´re saying about the CrazyWhip´s lobby yesterday? I was there and i had fun for a while, at least until the leader set to Fuji (i just hate that track) and be kicked out after some minutes. I agree with you, the things was going too much rude on there (specialy because i was hearing my nick mentioned several times, without even understand why), fortunaly im not that good in understand english when i need to speak and listen (for me is easier read and write), but im glad to be kicked, because the things was going way too far for my poor understand, so i can figure how annoying it can be for anybody who is natural for english and understand 100% everytime.

I don´t want to talk about my kick episode, because im not angry. I´d say that im even glad to be kicked out, because i wasn´t having fun anymore and CrazyWhip did me a favor. Because right after me and K0rd_M_22 (also kicked out) moved to the Team Nemesis Lobby and found good times to chill and drift.

I just think that people could just take it easy and show some respect sometimes, specialy if you are not close to someone.

Or just shut up and stop talking to the person, either way works fine.

The thing is people forget this is a GAME and forget to have fun. If you are good at something GREAT!! but I want people to use what they know to help others and not hold a badge over someone else because they are better.

That is actually the most sensible thing I have heard recently. You don't see somebody in Formula D, BDC, D1 or any other form of drifting (or even racing) laughing or offending somebody because they are worse than whoever, you see them helping, offering tips and comparing where and what is different between them. All forms of motorsport is suppose to be frendly and a good environment for fair, honest people and this isn't just true in big forms of motorsport like Formula 1, it is also like this in smaller, more aggresive events like Demolition Derby.

The message I am trying to get across to people is to help others and keep the Drifting in GT5 and the threads in GTPlanet friendly and giving a good impression to others.

I noticed you used RedSuns as an example in the op, was there any RedSuns causing trouble? If they are let me know. I'm pretty positive we tend to stay out of trouble, but you never know.

No I used you guys as a positive example. I've never had an issue with any of you

I know D-Max/ACN as a team used to take things a lil seriously, but now 'who's better' never comes into the equation! We (and the majority of drifters both on GTP and in real life) drift because we enjoy drifting, not slagging off others about how they are not as good as us :)

Any mini battles we have within the team are just purely for fun.

When ever you feel the need to argue or comment on some ones post about there punctuation or grammar when your not a mod. just remember the slogan (keep drifting fun) :)
