There were some requests for older cars in the PSC Weekly 114 thread, so...

Car: 1976 Cadillac El Dorado

Competition Ends: Tuesday, September 13, 2005.

As always, I am willing to extend the competition upon request.

Bah! Troubles.
I'm trying to make the car gloss black with a black interior. I have tried this using the Replace color and Adjust brightness/contrast methods, but neither have worked out.
Any tips??

Also, where do you guys get your city photographs for use as backgrounds? I cannot find anything good off Google.

Another thing, how do you use multiple (separated) lasoo selections?
 
hold the shift key down for multiple selections. as far as backgrounds go, i use ones that already have cars in them, and photoshop them out.. lol.. using replace color wont give you a gloss finish, niether will brightness/contrast.. they'll give you flat results, the only way to get a gloss-finish after you've flat-blacked it is to add reflections [usually white or some other highlight too]

No time for me to work on the car today, perhaps tomorrow. I still have a long ways to go.
 
Mine's currently in progress. All the major changes are still to come. I'm also trying to figure out how I'm going to put in a different interior or seats.
I plan to lower it, change wheels. I have already changed color and a couple small things.

Susq, what exactly did you do to yours? It looks like you fused the bottom half of an earlier Caddy with the topside of the original.
 
kinda.. i took the seats out of a completely different vehicle along with the wheels & rear end.. its a P.I.T.A. to do reflections over 2 different cars btw :ouch: i have 4 different cars on that caddy :dopey:
 
:D i...dunno what i was thinkin :indiff: :dopey: shaved, slammed, torq thrust rims, sidepipes, side trim from a bel air, blackened interior, reworked grill, oh yeh and a not so obvious ENGINE! :D i was havin a larf with this one :lol:

Could you post it?

Mine's still in progress. I have put in an all-new interior from a Bentley, changed the color, lowered it, and am trying to either find some big chrome wheels or wire wheels.
 
i was gonna do the dual-carb thing too, but decided not to.. and go for somethin a lil different..

I didn't have a chance to work on mine yesterday and not yet today. But I will get it done.

Or... as much as I'm going to do this week.

I started out with a Bentley Azure interior, but about 85% is now airbrushed to change the interior shapes and colors.
Obviously, the color has been changed and the car lowered with different wheels. I re-colored the headlights, background, signal lights, and side mirror. The grille has been thinned.

Now i'm done in the last minute!

Critique is welcome, thou have in mind, I made this in just a few hours.

Colors (interior as well), Roofed up, lowered, new rims, new front grill (Escalade) and some more.

jarlen--the wheels r flat :ouch: but its a decent choice, just find a better angle
slicks-- the only thing i would've left is the signal, or put a different color overlay [yellow=aged?] thats a huge interior nice work overall :D

Why do you ask? I can extend it for a short time if you want.

I'll ask again, ARE THERE ANY REQUESTS FOR NEXT WEEK? ('Cuz I have no clue what I should go with).
 
Sorry for the delay in next week/this week's poll I have been swamped with homework and work, which I am off to in about 10 minutes. At best, I would expect the new threads up tomorrow afternoon/evening.

OK, busy day. Got off school. Quick snack/check in on GTP and Travian, then go to work from 3 'till 7. Come home, eat. Do Physics lab homework 'till 11:00. Check on Travian and GTP.
I'm working tomorrow as well, so if I have homework then I likely won't get a chance to post the poll and new week. I'll post it tomorrow if I have time, or more likely after school on Friday.

Jarlen, if you wish to improve your entry, then feel free to do so. You've got lots of time left.

You think it's need improvement? No, I'll wait for next weeks comp. Right now i have School too and the Photoshopchop-competition.
 
I think it's fine. I was just saying that you had the time to improve because you said you put it together very quickly.
I might be able to get the poll up tonight. If not, then tomorrow after school.
