Thursday, March 1st. Maintenance is expected to start at just after 8:00 am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 10pm Pacific. Unlike typical maintenance events, consumers who are already signed-in to PSN will be signed-out, and consumers will be unable to sign in for the duration of the maintenance window. During this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online.

This might require some planning to keep your 200%, just thought I'd let people know.

I put US, as I'm not sure if it is global.

Good sign, I agree.

Still nothing on official webs, but if true maybe 2.06 is less than a day away.

I bet it is just for more Vita support from PSN rather than anything to do with GT5, but it is a large chunk of time we can't log in to keep that 200% we all so love :)

It does if you can't sign in to GT5 and lose your 200% because you don't ever check the console board :)

But if a mod wants to move it, go right ahead.

That was a response to the posts above mine talking about 2.06. :)

How? You need to be logged in to PSN and GT5 servers in order to claim your bonus. If you can't log in to PSN (due to maintainence) then you can't log in to GT5 servers and therefore you cannot your sign in bonus.

Oh, and thanks for the heads-up by the way.

That's why he's giving us a heads up, so we can log in and get our bonus before it goes down.

I believe the same too, plus 2 more things.
One, that has something to do with the change from PSN to SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) and maybe eventually the rest of the world will be able to have the features/Media that the US PSN has...and Two, after the PSN outage last year, sony has taken PSN's security seriously.

Just looking out for my fellow GTPers. Sucks to lose that 200% even if it is for just one day. I thought I could help avoid it.

No issue with the bonus, as you get it for two days straight anyways...if you lose a day you only go back to the '9' which leaves you on the 200% still.

^^ I think it goes back to 110% sometimes. It happened to me a couple weeks ago, but it's only happened once before that. I don't know if it's a bug.

👍 Even though I was going to try signing in today, now I'm going to have to find a way.

You will not lose the 200% bonus. It goes like this

day 1: 110%
Day 2: 130%
Day 3: 150%
Day 4: 170%
Day 5: 200%
Skip a day: 170%
Next Day: 200%

Yeah, you are right, but you still can't race online, or do seasonals, or send/receive gifts, or buy from the OCD, do remote b-specing, and it will tell you, you aren't logged in every 5 seconds, but other than that the 14 hour outage will have no impact on GT5 whatsoever

Just to be clear. This is PSN right? Nothing to do with GT5 as far as maintenance? Was gonna give Kaz a virtual high five for staying on top of things.

They're prepping for MLB 12: The Show awesomeness next week! Gird your loins boys and girls!
