Looking for thoughts/opinions on purchasing the currently available 911 Carrera from the LCD with the yellow paint and chrome wheels.

I jumped at this car when it first released with the white/blue wheels but I'm really not a fan of it. I used decals from the livery editor to change the color but the decals just don't have the same resolution as the original.

Just curious what other do in these situations? Bite the bullet and get a second one? 745,000 credits is a decent amount for me, and if I buy the yellow and sell my original I'm basically out approximately 400,000 credits in the end.

(This applies to any car that loses it's original scheme/decals when changed in the livery editor. Doesn't have to be the Porsche)

I have several cars that I've bought multiple times. A good example of why are 60's and early 70's cars that I've tailored specifically for my own kind of TramsAm series with PP limitations, limited to speeds, tires, etc. so I don't have to worry about reconfiguring cars for these races. A have 3 '70 Challengers for instance..... One for the TransAm race with a special livery, another that it "maxed out" with modifications that can be dialed back for various races and the last that is stock.

If I ever come across a black Challenger (which I am not even sure is available), I will also buy that one. .....so yeah, I also buy based on color, decals, etc. In those cases, I may or may not get rid of one of the others but will likely keep them all.

I’m pretty sure you aren’t going to run out of garage space so buy another. I’ve personally never sold a car and I have many duplicates, I like to have a stock example and then a wide body with all the permanent engine upgrades and weight reductions. I like having cars in different colors or downloaded liveries as well.

Have you tried tuning it? MasterGT does a tune that is amazing. It floats like a real Porsche.

Tune to 580pp and enjoy at all of the classic venues.
And remember there is a huge restomod / backdate community in the Porsche world so making it look a bit more “wow” is fine. Mine is in a very punchy “Viper Green“ and is gorgeou.
Have bought the yellow one too which will get a full race car set up and 1973 Le Mans livery.
