In Arcade Mode, your driver avatar is replaced with a driver wearing a racing suit based on the Manufacturer of the car your driving. These same suits are also seen on the AI drivers in GT Mode.

I think it would be nice if the Manufacturer-Themed racing suits and helmets can be bought in the racing suit store individually (separated between Suits and Helmets) for 600cr each or 64,200cr for the complete line (107 different suits and helmets).
By making the helmets and suits separated, players can customize their driver avatar just like they would with other individual suit/helmet sets. It's also perfect for players who like a specific car brand or those in team-based online events where teams are separated by manufacturer.
Forgot to mention, another nice feature is that these suits match their Pit Crews too!
