Purchasing Tokens to get any car on Forza 4

Just an FYI: If you didn't already know you can purchase money tokens online in the marketplace to purchase any of the cars in Forza 4 ( to use in place of your credits you win if you don't have that many credits to start with ) which is a cool feature IMO.Of course there are cars you win as you level up so you wouldn't want to purchase them but to get a special car you want early is nice.

NOTE: Lower priced cars around 250,000 and lower are 1 token , then up to about 900,000cr is two tokens and anything over 1,000,000cr is three tokens.

In order to get tokens you have to send real money, right? I think the Shift series did something like that, and personally I think it's pretty goofy. It seems like money is extremely easy to come by in this game but I suppose if you don't want to wait it might be worth it. I know I'll never be using the token feature.

I love that they're using EA's pioneering idea of letting you pay real cash money for cars in the game you already paid real cash money for. A real no-brainer if you ask me. I think I'll go see how many I can unlock this way in one sitting!

It is a very good idea and I'm sure they will make money out of it however as FM4 is so easy to get money I doubt I'll use it, never say never though!

I would never use them, i rather race and earn my cars, at least i would feel good that I spend a few hours getting my car!

I don't mind it because I will never use it. If people want to spend real money to get 3 tokens and then flood the market with Ferrari 250 GTO's that's fine by me though. I'll snatch one up when the competition drives the prices down.

They got it the wrong way around it should be tokens for credits that way we can all bid 999,999,999 on the unicorns

Does anyone know if you can actually auction the cars after getting them with tokens?


I mean, it would seem like a really poor decision on T10s part to stop people from glitching credits, but then allow them to sell millions of dollars worth of Ferrari on the auction house after doing almost nothing to get it.


As for me using the tokens, I was only planning on using them for the Shelby Daytona is I couldn't get it before a few months, but it was a level reward car so I guess I'll never be using them.

AFAIK, yes you can auction them. BTW you can find people listing daytonas for ~500k buyout on AH from time to time. Just check the AH in between races. 👍

I also wondered this. So I bought some tokens.
You are not able to sell cars in Auction that you bought with "car-tokens".

Doesn't bother me though, guys in my car club are pretty happy driving around in the SSC Ultimate Aero I bought. 👍

Tokens can actually have a hidden blessing. They could, in theory be used to buy cars in the auction house, like the unicorns. With a preference going to people who use the tokens. This would mean modding credits would be useless. Of course, this would mean you'd have to have a set value for the tokens.
