ok cool, so if the race was today, how many hours away or past are we?

id rather get this right then waste your time doing an audition to find it doesnt fit with me,

We'd be two hours and a half away from green flag.

hmmm, that works out to be 3.30am monday for me, its not an issue until i work day shift or full time, so i guess i will sit the audition and go from there, is there a less desired or preferred car i should get used too?

They're all pretty much equal in terms of lap times. But you would probably find it easiest in a GT-R, HSV, or SC430. The Supra handles beautifully but is tougher to ring out time at some tracks or situations, so if you're not too experienced it'll be frustrating. Same story with the Z more or less.

ok cool, i will check the OP again and see what the heart desires, im good for an audition whenever,

Which is only true, because Daylight Saving Time ends between now and the first race.

If the race was today, at 18.00 UTC, it would start in 3 hours from now. (unless I also got confused)

Edit: I got it wrong. Daylight Saving Time will end ...
  1. in Europe on October 28th (second race day)
  2. in the USA on Nov 4th
  3. In Australia, I have no idea...

That means that green flag for first race would currently be 2 hours 50 away.

Race time is UTC it doesn't change with Daylight.
Your local time *may* change but the race time stays the same.

You're absolutely correct, of course, but in practical terms it depends on your point of reference. Most of us live in time zones which currently do use DST, so from that point of view, the starting time does change when DST ends. (i.e. the race will start 1 hour earlier from that reference point)

Yeah. 👍

All you need to know is the UTC time, and from that, you can "calculate" your local connect/start time.
Daylightsavings in your local area is up to each driver to keep in mind.

Hi all...

Spoke to Chorda (post above) and he said to post interest in event on the thread, hope this is the right one (Pure GT500 - Div 2)..

Looking for well organised clean racing at weekend, raced with Litchi a bit and Chorda one night too...

Thanks

Oh, and H.. Your quali determines which division to race in.
No need to state which Div.. Just quali, and your time will tell. 👍

OK - I'll drive in reverse, make sure I get in Div 2 :D

5th is poor? You should easily be able to fight for top 5s Outlaw, you under estimate yourself :P.

A sign-up form for this Sundays race will be up soon, along with the (99,9% certain) finalized car specs. 👍

It will be 2 races.. GVS and Indy. 👍

I would love to race on Sunday on two of my favorite circuit, having my test tryout with Wardez tomorrow so hope I see you all on Sunday.

Is there a list of those interested? Just want to see how poorly I would finish.
There's at least 9 drivers that you'll be very close or equal to in terms of pace with, off the top of my head, that I'm sure are interested. :)
Tony, Adam, Jason, Dennis, Eddie, myself, Nige, SailIC, Nissman, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Which is exactly why you should join us Rich.👍

I pretty much did this morning. 👍

Jordan, Daniel, OK8, cicua, Travis and so it goes on an on....
Josh, Dave, Jeff...

To reach D1 would be like winning for me.. Really tough competition..
Imo, 3-guys will be in D1 all the time.. Tony, Adam, Dom, Nige and perhaps 1 or 2 more..
Looking so much forward to this series. Battles will be epic no matter what your pace is.. Always good drivers around you. 👍

Tim, Joshua, it never ends..

I'm supposed to get my internet installation kit tomorrow. Hopefully the connection is good enough. :nervous:

snowgt, paul.... LOOL!! It really does'nt stop...
I'm done with the name calling for now..

trajikone, WiiFreak, Alex, Will (Litchi), Green.. Ok, I'm going to stop now..

Den I will maybe scrape D1 by a miracle once but be happy enough in D2 the rest of the time .

so.... I take it I won't be getting 6th this year. Probably have to fight to be in single digits.

Well, I just found out GTP has a limit of 20,000 characters for PM's...

Going to have to re-work this bad boy.
