Man Johnny, I really wish you would join us, you'd be perfect for this series - there's always an open invitation for you if you'd just take it.

Thanks but my schedule is too erratic to commit to any series this serious. I'd be lucky to make half the races and would just be taking up a spot on the grid from someone who could make all the races. While you guys are racing on Sunday, I'll likely be standing by a river casting spoons and roe bags for salmon and steelhead...lol.

After my post above I went back a couple of pages and saw some references to different track boundaries. I went by the usual WRS/GTP standard of curb being track etc...but I notice you guys are making it a little tighter than that so those times aren't quite valid...:ouch:

all the user permission stuff is fixed.
Yep. It works now. Thank you, sir. 👍

With this understeer, I may have to use my old tactic of bringing down my feedback to 2. If I can't loosen up the car, I'll just loosen the rack.

The best way to "loosen up" the car with 2,09 is to get the entry right.
As long as you don't enter the corner with too much speed, the understeer is'nt that noticeable. Apart from the fact that speed and weight will give your car a momentum to manage that can be mixed up with understeer to some extent.

I found that yesterday, I was struggling with oversteer on entry. Josh using the same set up, said it didn't feel any different from before the update. I ran 47.3, he was 45.1.
It's not understeer as you said Dennis, it's too much speed on entry.

I need to do my qualifying tonight as I'm away for the day tomorrow.

I shall be home from work around 10pm UTC so hopefully someone can join me. I should only need an hour Max just to get used to this new update.

I will be online then. Trying out my new wheel, woohoo 👍

The pedals are worlds apart from DFGT, feel so nice.

Update:
So as you all know we got a few reports that cars weren't balanced anymore because of the new seemingly enhanced understeer characteristics that 2.09 brought. After a full day of testing, observation, and confirmation, we've concluded that our spec's. GT500 1.5, are good to go - the cars are balanced just the same.

Apologies if this has already been "sorted", but what tyre / fuel 'depletion setting is goingto be used?

NORMAL
FAST
VERY FAST

Can someone confirm please?

We've tried all three, 'fast' in our opinion was very good.. Tyre wear seems to be in the middle of pre 2.08 and post 2.08, well be using this in most, if not all, of our races.

I set the rear toe to -1.00 today and noticed nothing in terms of on-track handling.
I set the camber to 3.0/0.0 and it felt the same as 2.0/1.0
I set the springs, and ride height to max/min and min/max and in-between settings, still nothing.

Resulting current setup, that drives, well, the same:
0/0
15.8/15.8
8/8
5/5
4/4

0.0/0.0
0.00/0.00

I wasn't thrilled with the old tuning methods, but at least you could tweak a car to your liking.

I was thinking the exact same. I've been reversing min/max ride height, sp rates etc and I'm finding no difference in the cars handling. Have you tried diff settings?

seems that now "how you drive" matters more than "what you drive"

I'm wondering if GT-Academy has influenced their adjustments based on what they think will produce better *real* drivers from the *fake* experience. The game really seems to reward driving methods that instructors preach more than ever.

Maybe so but it's strange how you can run sp rate, dampers and roll bars all at min value then again all maxed out and produce very similar track times. Just doesn't feel like its making much difference if any to me.
