Did the 2.02 update fix the need to push the start button twice during rolling starts?

How can I boost or turn up the volume of other racers mics when racing online? I'm using a normal computer headset. I use the red and white audio cable that came included with the PS3 and use a RCA to 3.5mm stereo adapter with it so I can get sound to my headset.

RCA to stereo 3.5mm for sound only: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10429&cs_id=1042902&p_id=7190&seq=1&format=2

USB to 3.5mm adapter for headset mic only (irrelevant): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001MSS6CS/?tag=gtplanet-20

Bump. Is there a way to boost other racer's mics when playing online? Things are now a bit worse with the added racing sounds.

Dont think you can the way your doing it its a fixed output. Go buy a bluetooth headset, any type that you would use for your mobile phone will do, then set it up in the XMB menu, that will be fully adjustable.

If you go to the options menu in GT life, turn down the SFX and turn off the music you'll be able to hear everyone loud and clear! It's a bit of a pain having to re-adjust it whenever you do single player, but it's worth it :)

Thanks for your reply. I really hate to do this if I don't need to. I've already sunk about $45 in my current setup plus I hate charging accessories all the time.

Thanks! Does this really work for you? I could have sworn I tried this once in a friends room and it didn't help. I seem to remember that one of those settings also controlled the voices. I'll give it another try though as I hate not being able to hear everyone.

It's been my setup for a long time, and it's always worked for me. 👍
