ParkourVeyron's GT5 Photo Gallery

Hello all! I've been wanting to start my own gallery for a while now, but I've been too lazy to sign up for Photobucket. I wanted to do something special for my 1,000th post, so I thought a gallery would be a good idea. Comments and advice are welcome. 👍

It's a pretty nice start, Parkour 👍 Editing them out will make them hugely better, but don't rely on that option on all of your photos :)

I have been thinking of starting my own Galleria as well, but I don't have a large photo stockpile yet.

Well, a greenish tint is dandy, I admit. But I find the most problems in the pic itself. What are you trying to illustrate in the pic? It seems like the picture is towards a sense of speed. I dunno, I'm not a pro at Photography..

But the way you blurred out the grandstand and in the distance.. I like that.

Congrats to a 1000 Posts first of all!

But I kinda have to agree with Technicolors.
I don't know what you've tried to achieved with the photo itself nor with your editing.
This green tinge just seems plain ugly (sorry, but I really cannot find another word for that)

To the Corvette Photo itself:
You've definetly tried to achieve a sense of speed in there, which is good!
But for that you either should use Panning Mode 1, but also need to understand the basics of focus points, or you use the Panning Mode 3, set the Shutter speed at 1/60 or 1/125 and it works out quite well, when the focus is set correctly.

You see my point here, the only real problem about the whole picture is the completly wrong focus point. The Background/Track is way to sharp and the car is too blurry. To achive a nice sense of speed you want the complete opposite of it, meaning a sharp car (with fast moving wheels) and a speed - ish/moving background. You need to get the "middle" of the camera onto the car and press Square to set the focus onto the car. If you done that, and make a photo with the shutter speed between 1/60 and 1/250 you will immediatly recognise the difference.

Edit picture:
It just looks awful. I really don't know what you tried to achieve there, but I guess it wasn't anything good.

Editing is actually there to remove the flaws of the game itself. Meaning to brighten the pictures up, add more contrast to them and just give them a more realistic tone.
If you really don't understand anything from a proper editing I could refer to some tutorials here in the forum or even recommend some editing techniques on YouTube explained by photographers. These are very easy to learn techniques to really make something out of your photos.

But a rule you can always keep in mind is that anything starts with a good base - meaning a good picture. If you don't got these techniques (there is a tutorial in this forum) down, you won't be able to do proper photos. And without these you won't even have to bother editing them.

I hope this doesn't sound all harsh and cocky to you, but I just try to help people, that still have problems with the Photomode.

Have a nice day and still keep trying!

Cheers,

I don't really know what I was trying to do either, I just wanted to emphasize the High Speed Ring logo, that's why I blurred out the background.

First of all let me say that I don't like either of the photos, I took a photo I didn't like and experimented with it.

I know how to take a good picture in GT5, I know how to focus and such, I'm a total moron. And like I said before, it was experimental. In the edit I blurred out the background to draw attention to something else.

Yet again, it was an experiment. And I sort of disagree with you on the editing part, yes, you edit the photos to make them more realistic, but you also edit them to make them more pleasing to the eye. And I know how to edit photos properly.
But a rule you can always keep in mind is that anything starts with a good base - meaning a good picture. If you don't got these techniques (there is a tutorial in this forum) down, you won't be able to do proper photos. And without these you won't even have to bother editing them.
I know that, this whole thing was just an experiment. I took a bad picture and made it different.

I don't necessarily have problems with Photomode itself, I just have trouble figuring out what needs to be done to the pictures to make them better. That's all.

Now let me ask you a question, which picture from the miscellaneous ones do you think is best, and which on from the ZR1 photos do you think is best?

I like your first two shots, and the one you just uploaded a little while ago. I can never get a snow picture with out a ton of pixelation.~Turtle

Thanks! I finally got something right! 👍 As for the snow pictures, it's all smoke and mirrors. All I did with my picture is find the angle where there wasn't any pixelation. And if you do get a picture with pixelation in it, you can blur it out or add more snow-dust on top of it when you go to edit it.

The blurred background is pretty nice. I'd say keep it 👍

And nice editing on the Snow pic. Did you use SlipStream's tutorial on smoke pixelation removal?

Yeah, I'm going to go back and re-do it again, only this time I'll use a different filter. I'm thinking blue.

Thanks! And no, I didn't use the tutorial. I haven't heard of it either. Mind providing a link?

I'll post some more pics soon when I get motivated.

Make sure you try not to overdue that tinting thing. Here's something I did to what I'm talking about:

Edited.

You may prefer the Original one or the edited one. But that is fine. You can obviously see the differences between the two.

I personally think he should have emphasized the sense of speed in another way that doesn't look strange to appreciators... The shutter speed is what affects how the photo really looks like in depicting the sense of speediness of the car, strengthening the effect of speed too much the entire shot looks as if the car stands still on the track.
