Quoting myself from the iRacing forums:

My Fanatec Turbo S has recently been randomly disconnecting from iRacing lately, iRacing is the only program I have a problem with but when the wheel decides to stop working it wont even respond in the profiler. I can't figure out why this is happening, I have switched USB ports with no luck and today it seemed fine during the day (hot as hell where I race) yet when I came back to it tonight I have had nothing but problems. I even got a BSOD while racing tonight right after the wheel stopped responding.
I can't think of anything else to try. The wheel is not excessively hot or anything I can hear the fans (its running FW 669UE. Anyone else have problems/ ideas?

Justin, are you using the wireless dongle? I had the same problem when using the dongle, I switched to the usb cable and have had no problems since.

Nope I use the wireless on the PS3, never trusted it with iRacing TBH.

Just ran about 12 laps in the Jetta around Road America and didn't have a single problem. It was disconnecting around laps 10-12 in the Solstice at Laguna Seca, so I've put even more time into it today with no ill effects so far. Just hope it stays that way.

I'm starting to think this is a firmware issue, the wheel disconnected while I was playing Dirt 2 last night, and my roommates PWTS disconnected from his PS3 while he was playing as well (we both use the same FW 669UE). I'm emailing support about it, not sure how I'll get a video of it though.

Just a quick update, there is something going on with the H gate shifter, its not defective (I think) but when I am shifting and turning I get momentary pauses in all of the wheels inputs, if I switch over to sequential shifting using the paddles, not problems.
Ok so no problems in Dirt, but iRacing still does the same thing. Tried uninstalling both iRacing and the Fanatec drivers with no luck.

This is getting really frustrating.

Anybody have any ideas? The problems seem to be isolated to just iRacing now, should I email Fanatec about an issue that only I seem to be having and appears to be software related? Also I have checked the USB Power settings and they are all set to not turn off power to the port.

My wireless connection has never worked so well that i could use it with distance to pc. (dorway between, distance about 2,5m) PS3 and 360 have no problems even connecting trough walls in my house.
