I have tried 2 different lvl 40 b'spec drivers, and both crashes while overtaking on the 2 bottlenecks on the track. Maybe using a car with smaller front bumper (mazda furai or 787b) will make it easier on the bob. Lets not diuscuss the AI cause then the thread hits the fan instead of target.

1. What 650PP car is ultimatly the best to use on Cote d'Azur b'spec?

2. Is there a tuning setup that works best or just use default settings on car?

3. How do you prevent the bob from crashing on this track, can you explain your b'spec management?

1. I used the Mazda 787B from the New car dealership. Worked excellent, its' light and takes the corners faster than most. You'll have to downtune it, increase the weight, lower all aeros, lower the power limiter and don't do oil change, until you reach 650PP. If you still can't reach 650, do a race (a long one preferably) to dirty the oil a bit.

2. I used the default tuning except transmission, I shortened it a bit to favor acceleration rather than top speed. I think (it was a long while ago) I moved the top speed setting, 3-4 to the left (lower).

3. For this track, you need to keep you BOB medium/cool. He usually crashes at the tight corners after the tunnel so you need to bring him down before you get there. I pushed him hard until he go to the corners before the tunnel (right after the tight hairpin). After the hairpin, I set him to Pace down, after he passes the section (where he crashes), pace him back up. One reminder, don't push him too hard or it'll be harder to cool him back down, and he'll crash at the same corner over and over again. Always keep him above medium but below fully hot. Also, I tend to use the Overtake command more than Pace up, this doesn't get him as hot.

Good luck, this one gave me issues too at first.

It's a coding error. No matter how much you cool him, he'll always crash. The trick is to let him crash, get ahead in the other parts, and if you cool him while there's no other cars around, he won't hit that corner.

There's no coding error, I managed to clear the event without hitting crashing. You can't cool him too much or too little, you need to keep him in between medium and hot. If he's too hot, he'll take too much speed and crash, if he's too cool, he'll turn to early and crash.

most of the main 650 cars will win once you accept that your simply rolling a dice with this one, i found however that the veyron won about 40-50% without coaching as it's slower & heavier and didn't hit corners unless overtaking on the inside of "that" corner

bob stupidity * luck = patience

Successfully completing B-spec events relies heavily on relation between four variables:

B-spec driver personality/skill level+Appropriate car for the race/track/event.+Appropriate Tune+input or lack thereof by the Gamer.

It may sound rather elitist or even vague but it's proven again and again to work for me. Sometimes, I must refrain from inventing new words and blaming the game, but in the end, it's really user input in these variables(aside from Bob).

to answer your questions:
1)650PP BMW Mclaren F1 GTR Race Car '97[don't worry it doesn't start on fire] or the Honda Mobil 1 NSX '01
2)B-spec drivers don't usually perform their best on default settings. I prefer to adjust the LSD, suspension, and transmission to fit each driver. If you need specifics, PM. I'd be more than happy to assist.
3)The general consensus is Pace down before the chicane(or more specifically about mid tunnel).
