Does anyone qualify before they start a race just so they can start the race in the position one slot?

Seems kinda pointless to me, but I did it one time, and wasn't worth it at all IMO because even if I start in 6th place, I still pass them in the first 10 seconds of the game since their cars are stock, and mine aren't.

Okay, what I REALLY wanna know is..., Does anyone here qualify for endurance races? :D If you say yes, either you really have no life, or are wayyyyy to into the game.

I know what you're saying about feeling secure...

I might consider qualifying if I was in a completely stock car racing against other cars just like mine. But there ain't no way in h_ll I'm going to even attempt to qualify for a 2 hour endurance race! :D

Its handy when your just starting out and haven't starting playing around under the hood.

In theory it should be hany later on as well. Those 10 seconds you spend getting into pole could be spent getting a 10 second lead on pole.

Unfortunatly the AI seems to race harder if you are doing really well.

I have raced perfect races and come sixth. Ive spun out on 3 bends on the last lap and come first. Its bizarre

i qualified when i was in the european league thingy in the amature class on race coteazure.  but that was becuase i had lost on of the other races and if i did not win then i would lose the whole series.  so i pretty muched used it to get to know the track.  rather then positioning...so anyway

I forgot that you can qualify for the races.  It's not even worth it at all because like Josh said you pass them so quickly.  Especially in the Formulas.  You blow by them in like 2 seconds.  It's awesome!

used to do it at the beginning of playing gt3. especially if i am not 100% sure i can win. like the formula race. i used f090 and it wasn't the most powerful one on the track. and also the like the wind race, the 787b was sure fast and if i lost him on the start, there wasn't any way i could catch up even without the wind drag. well, with my f090 at least.

I did it once but It was a waste of time so I didnt :)  Well I guess, playing a video game is a form of wasting time.  THE BEST WAY TO WASTE TIME IS TO DO IT HAVING FUN!  :)

I qualified when I had stock cars. It really helps if you got a car that runs good, but cant pull ahead of the pack. But I dont worry about that no more!
