Quality of online services?

It seems since patch 1.10, with every update we are forced to downlaod for online services, the quality of rooms and races online seem to drop. I remember being able to go from a german room (mind you im in canada), then jump to an aussie room, then to a japanese room, then to a brazilian room. All in one day without a problem. Now im either faced with "your request has timed out" or " you have been disconnected due to a network incompatability with the room host". And when I do get a chance to do a race, I cant even do a lap around La Sarthe let alone Nordschliefe without running into a "you have been disconnected from the server" screen. Anybody else having troubles connecting to others OUTSIDE their country?

-Clear your cache
if still doesn't fix, then:
- in the PS3s network settings change the DNS to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. which are Googles public DNS servers; then clear the GT5 online cache and it should work first time

Done that, and have done alot more than that, and still didn't work.

I agree, it seems to be dropping, i can't even join at all anymore. And because of it, am pretty much off GT5, unless seasonals are updated.

Yea, I was just informed by some recent german friends that cant even play online what so ever because of patch 1.11... I think its pretty clear that online quality is deteriorating.

I don't know what's wrong with people... I'm not noticing any deterioration in the game in any way by each update, I'm only getting the benefits.

I havent had a single problem with the connection except the always joyful kicks.
Those have been more rare since last patch though. But maybe that's just an coincidence.

Sad to here you guys having trouble with your connection! Hope it gets better in the future.

I noticed with a few other PS3 games as well getting worse online with each update, even such that are supposed to "improve online connectivity". First I thought its my system, but I got a new slim recently and I have to say especially GT5 runs quite a bit worse than on my old phat... Endless loading after race win for example, never happened to me before.

My online experience in GT5 has been steadily decreasing in quality and enjoyability. I often get loading times as long as two eternities. It occurs at random rooms, and can be quite annoying, since the only way to get out of the loading screen is to disconnect the PS3 from the network. It doesn't really matter which country or how strong my connection to the host is, I always have to cross my fingers it'll work this time. I don't know if it's the patches making things worse, but something is terribly wrong.

EXACTLY what im talking about, even worse when you're the only one in there to boot. My system cache is cleared in game and on the internet browsel feature's, and im still having problems. Although my internet IS being throttle'd by the company that runs it. (If somebody asks,i'll gladly tell how it works). But ya, like I said, I cant even go a lap around the Nurburgring in a room thats not hosted in North America without being disconnected. Sure it wasn't perfect in the past, but I think it's beyond coincidence that it's happening a lot more frequently nowa days...

Same here it usually takes me up to 2 hours to load main online page and even when I'm connected to psn the gt homepage will also take an unbelievable time to load this has totally ruined what could have been an amazing game without online I might aswell play prologue and get my money back offline gameplay can only be good until you've completed it such a let down
