I have SPRINT as a ISP and they said that theres a firewall integrated into the MODEM. Now, is this the same time of firewall like ....I forgot the name of the firewall from Norton..anyways is it like that? Or is it something completly different? Is there any way to disable it?

Because my downloads\uploads suck out the ass.

Results for my speed test :

RESULTS

I had 15 megabits when I used to have cable

Yes, kind of. Norton Firewall is a software firewall whereas the modem has a hardware firewall. Hardware firewalls are more secure. I doubt your firewall is creating slow transfer speeds.

DSL has variable speeds, depending on how much you are willing to pay. It could be as low as 128 kbps or as high as 6 mbps (or even higher). Do you know what speed you are paying for?

Some ISPs 'lock down' customer's speeds lower than what they are paying for. They assume the average user will never notice the difference. If you know the speed you are paying for, call Sprint and ask them if they are locking down your speed.

I don't have a hardware firewall, but I'm sure there are some config files that got installed you could play around with. Read the manual or visit the modem's website.

Oh, and you get what you pay for. If you're getting really slow speeds, you're probably paying for a slow connection. Want 15mbps? Pay for the cable connection again.
