Hello everyone, I've been a longtime fan of gt and reader of gtplanet, and i finally decided to register to this amazing forum, and hurray for finally putting out a release date!! November 24th!! I have the biggest smile on my face. i've played all gts except for 3, and i regret trading it and not playing it, but ive never been able to use a wheel because i was a kid with no money and my parents thought paying 100$+ for a game controller was insane. I am now 18 years old with a job and can finally get a decent wheel. I was planning on getting a dfgt, i would prefer a g25 but even though i got a job im not rich, and im in college so i have stuff to pay.
I have a question about the wheel's clamp that anyone with the wheel and a tape measure or ruler can answer. How big is the clamp of the wheel, as in how far back into the table does it go? The table I use on my computer desk has a metal piece that I can't seem to remove about an inch and 3/4s into the table, so I was wondering if that would interfere with the clamp or If I will be fine? Thanks in advance!!
On a side note: Will GT5 run in native 1080p resolution? Most games on the ps3 run in 720p so they look kind of bad on my monitor, (monitors dont scale very well) as opposed to my TV, and my TV is mounted a good amount over eye level, (which i regret doing), so playing with a steering wheel wouldnt be that comftorable or space saving as clamping the wheel to my desk
