I'm curious about game mode, although I've never played in game mode when it comes to project cars because I find it compromises the visuals but I'm curious can game mode affect gameplay as in the cars handling, maybe it's me but last night I played in game mode for a little while and I found some of the cars handled a bit more easier

I remember when I got my new tv awhile a go which gets used most often as my pc's second screen and my ps4 screen and the amount of delay on the mouse pointer when it was on the new screen was horrid it started to make me feel ill after 10mins I remembered the game mode setting and the delay was gone :) now try playing COD with a delay like that ? game mode is a "must"

I'll try and get used to the game mode, but if I'm honest I've never noticed any kind of lag

I always run in game mode with low latency turned on.
Yes it changes the color temperature, noise reduction, black detail and visual settings but you can adjust all to your liking.
I prefer a film image so it's sharpness, brightness and color way down.
Backlight up with contrast and tint at naught.

Which tv do you have

Even in "game mode" most HDTVs exhibit significantly more latency than a CRT or PC monitor. It's why I clung to a humble CRT TV until 2015 and replaced it with an HDMI monitor instead of a HDTV. Maybe I'm more sensitive to it than others, but the delay is hardly subtle to me.

Unfortunately, us gamers don't seem to have any influence to encourage HDTV manufacturers to speed up or completely disable image processing. There's now a niche market for so-called "gaming monitors" like mine that are a bit large for a computer desk, but ideal for gaming.

If anyone's curious, there's a website for tracking the performance of TVs and monitors by make and model. It helped me settle on my display, an ASUS VE278H.
