Question about the Logitech G29 shifter

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I want to get the shifter for my G29 wheel and want to know if it works in GTS and also, will I finally use my clutch pedal?

From what I've seen in other threads... yes.

But I think I've read that the clutch pedal just acts like an on/off switch.

It does.

The clutch in GTS is so wrong it hurts, and makes it pretty much un-usable.

I was looking forward to the possibility of the G29/GTS clutch setup working properly after being let down with the G25 on GT6 on my PS3. Sadly, it is not the case. The same old missing shifts and popping me into neutral many times. I own a Ford Fiesta ST and was trying to recreate the experience in GTS with the Focus ST and manual mode - it is just awful.
