Before you enter the the 370 silverstone qualifying event, a prompt comes up asking for two things. One was the official rules and the other was asking to "opt-in" to something. Does anyone know what that something was? I mindlessly clicked through it, and now I don't know what to do. Does the opt-in affect my eligibility in the competition?

Thanks

The term "opting out" refers to quitting something; So I would assume it's the opposite of that. ?

If I remember right, it was just to receive news/ ads from Nissan to your email.
There was a check box there for that which I did not check but still clicked the opt in. I did not read it in full and do not remember correctly but I assumed it was to opt in to the GT Academy contest which I did even though I have no intention of trying to get to the top of the boards nor would I likely be fast enough to do so even if I wanted to. I just wanted to drive the demo and get a feel for it.

I'm hoping it wasn't that, even though I also will not win the competition. I still want to have hope!

I wanted to know what I did not "opt-in" to.

Doesn't look like you even knew what "opt-in" was considering you thought it would affect your eligibility in some way. Which doesn't make sense if you think about it. 👍

I know what it means to "opt-in". I just wanted to know what opportunity I missed out on when I forgot to check the "opt-in" box before my first run. Technically, If it was an option to "opt-in" into the competition, and I did not check the box, then I would be ineligible for the whole competition.

If you would re-read what you said you would understand what I'm trying to say. "Mindlessly clicking through" can be interpreted in both ways.
