Question about the SuperCar Festival in Professional Hall

According to the requirements in this race, you have to have a "production" car and standard or sports tires. That is fine with me, so I grabbed my cien to try. According to GT, the cien is not production, so I said, hey, thats cool, I will use a GTr. I entered the race with a used GTR that I had. I get to the starting grid and what is in front of me ??? Low and behold, it was a Cadillac Cien. I just could not figure out why I was not allowed to race with it, but I had to race against it. Are the requirements for the human player only, or is there something about the CPU Cien that is different ?? Just wondered if you guys could help me figure this out.

Thanks
John

No reason, it's just one of those stupid little details. I think the field in that race has a couple other possible oponent cars that you can't enter yourself (Like the VW W12 Nardo). There's probably a few other races that do the same thing.
I was annoyed with the supercar festival not because I had to race against cars I couldn't enter, but because you win so many prize cars that would be great for that race, but they're all concepts and you end up having to buy something to compete.

write-ups?
this should've been in the main GT4 forum....................where you should've searched and found the answer at least 5 times already!

you do know he is entirely correct. this is the WRITE-UPS forum. take a look around and see the things other people have posted. now, this does belong in the main forum :)

There are many bugs like this in GT4. I.e. in the Deutsche [which means German] Touring Car Championship in European Events, you can find an AI driven Alfa Romeo (which you yourself cannot enter with).

No need for the attitude, son.

You may be a new member, but there is a nice big forum index with a neat little description of what belongs where. It's not hard to read, and it tells you where the appropriate place to post is, rather than just dropping anchor wherever you happen to be.

There's also a nice big bunch of threads that stay permanently at the top of each board, which contain FAQs and other info you might need to know.

On top of that there's a button conveniently labelled Search that - oddly enough - will look up to find words for you. Try typing "Cien" in, and restrict the search to thread titles in the GT4 forum. See what you get.

With 75,000 members, hundreds of thousands of threads, and literally millions of posts, odds are pretty high that a given subject has at least been raised before. It's polite to see if you can find the answer yourself before you just ask for it.
