Question about updating Thrustmaster TX firmware

Hey guys,

I noticed on the Thrustmaster Support site that it says the following:

- RESTART THE COMPUTER once the package setup is complete.

I read through the Firmware Update Procedure PDF and it does not mention anything about restarting the computer. So I'm just wondering at what point do I restart the computer...

Is it after the installation of the drivers but before the actual firmware update...or...

Update the firmware straight away once the drivers are installed...then restart the PC...

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I just want to make sure that I don't do anything wrong.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply drandiiski. Do I leave the wheel plugged in while it's restarting?

It's a little confusing cos the PDF says your good to go once the firmware is updated.

Doesn’t really matter. I tend to not leave in on while the PC is starting up, because sometimes it goes into calibration, but stops halfway, then starts again. Probably due to the USB ports powering up and so on.

Thanks again for your reply drandiiski.

So once the firmware is updated, I'll unplug the wheel and restart my computer, right?

Will I need to connect it to the computer again once it restarts or is the wheel good to go before I restart my computer? (I won't be using it for PC gaming, only going to use it on my Xbox One)

If you are not using it on the PC, then just update it and plug it into the Xbox. Doesn’t matter if you restart the PC or anything.

Cheers again for your reply, the whole restarting thing was confusing me but it makes sense now. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it :)
