Ahhh... "El Twincam". That has to be the MOST riced-out car in my country, it's Colombia's Honda Civic. You can hardly find one that doesn't have either a fartcan, shattered gearbox/axles, a stupidly oversized stereo, a bunch of stickers some lame TSW rims or ALL THE ALREADY MENTIONED. Time to revisit some online car classifieds to give y'all something to laugh about! Welcome to "Questionable Modifications: Colombian tuning ads. Swift GTI edition!".

To begin, we've got this looker...

XTREME Concepts indeed!!! Lime green paintjob, a big spoiler, twin factcan, sponsor roll...and LOOK AT THAT!!! THE HOOD MAKES THE HEADLIGHTS LOOK AS IF THE CAR WAS ANGRY!!! TUNERRIFIC! All yours for a completely sensible US$5.5k.

The previous example only comes with a cold air intake for engine mods, but don't fret, here's a more XTREME Concept...

Mind the gap YO! DAT PANEL GAP! The reason for it HAS to be all those horses under the hood 'cuz this Swift has got a turbo! Pics of the engine bay look decent and not really questionable but here's the Kicker (Geddit? Kicker...like the brand of crappy audio equipment...yeah...I'm funny): The ad says "Built for racing complete with a turbo and full audio".

'Cuz...you know...every racing team that's worth a damn needs black tinted taillights and a heavy bootful of dumb speakers. Yup, this racing car is up for grabs for US$10.5k. A steal.

And if you think it can't get worse...look at this and think again:

Ohhhh yeah. Gobs of bondo, stupid tiger tribal decal, plastic guards for the wipers, "Need for Speed Underground" windshield sticker, poorly painted bottom lip with the name of, presumably, the beloved maiden of the car's owner. Tuner sauce, bros. Savour very detail of this ricerama!

chevrolet-swift-gti-1993-8169-MCOTUC_24145489_2-F.jpg

Horribly out of place rear spoiler, poorly applied flame decals, a tire/wheel combo that doesn't fit both in terms of style and geometry.

chevrolet-swift-gti-1993-8120-MCOTUC_24145489_5-F.jpg

Flip up DVD player, oversized tach, fake aluminum floormats, huge speakers and a fire extinguisher.

chevrolet-swift-gti-1993-8101-MCOTUC_24145489_4-F.jpg

And, of course, a bootfull of speakers. You know, for performance.

Thank you for watching, I apologize for what you've seen but I hope you were entertaind even if you might've been disgusted. Please tune in for the next edition of "Questionable Modifications: Colombian tuning ads" :D

This is what happens when fanbois get their license.

I dread to think how many ungodly cars have spawned from the tainted minds of the NFS fanbois.

What's really questionable about that purple Suzuki on the last page is that the owner decided to paint it and put a Bodykit on it before putting new wheels on it, anyone with a brain knows you change the wheels first. If the owner decided he doesn't want to change the wheels at all, that makes it even more questionable.

As far as I know, the wheels were never changed. Everytime I saw it (I actually took the photo) it had these steelies.

According to the vehicle registration details, it was scrapped a while ago.

This was a 1983 Firebird.

The asking price made me piss myself. Who in their right mind would pay FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND for that?????

What did you fix?

Also, that "Hatchback"
IKR. Luckily, it's fixable. Would make a nice project, especially since it's already a 302 car. Paint would be the first thing on the list along with a nice set of wheels and tires.

Denied, likely.

Well, we are going to find out. Considering I almost bought one for $2k, this should be interesting.

Oh nothing. Just something to help clean his post up, and maybe the floor below him.

A poor poor Autozam AZ-1. That monstrosity makes pandas cry.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read once in the internetz (so it must be true ;) ) that this car actually belonged to a member of the infamous Midnight Club. If that's true, then there should be some seriously expensive firepower behind that mess of what once was an Autosam. Anybody got any info on this?

EDIT: Found the Midnight Club article I was talking about and there were pictures of the AZ-1 in question. The same ones posted here...plus this one:

Autozam AZ-1

After some research, it is owned by Amemiya himself (who is of course a secret Mid Night member) and is actually a Honda Today boasting a 500 HP rotary engine. Yeah, soak it all in.

Very interesting! I knew that a car with a "Mid Night Club" sticker on it couldn't be just a crappy tuning job. Could you please post or PM me the website where you found that info?

No sources, just insider information. ;) It's fairly easy to tell it's not an AZ-1 as the date is labeled as '88, before the Mazda existed. The roof line and windows are evident it's a Honda Today also.
