Hey

i am kinda new to this game but have pretty decent hours in this game. i want to take it to the next step since i dont understand some things in this game
- Gear tuning
- suspesion
- drivetrain

Does there exist any kind of video that covers this all? i am prepared to watch hours of video's to understand those points so i can fine tune cars from drifting, 1/4 or 1/2 drags etc

Don't forget the 1/4 mile guide by @Master__Shake_

i got like a new way whice works for me
if i got a High powered HP card i will launch in 2 ofc. i bring the final to MAX and the top to the LOWEST. than i bring my final back to 2.5K than i put my 2nd gear all the way to the right. its still not enough so i increase the final a bit. after i got 2nd and final perfect i start doing gear by gear and test them individually is that good ?

No you want your final to be as low as possible at the initial setting. While still working with the lowest top speed setting feasible To reach top speed in your last gear at the end of the power band at trap.
Even very high HP cars can launch with a initial final with in 1.000 of the longest final gear setting.
Your final gear should always be longest when finished. This provides the maximum acceleration the car can achieve with proper gears and suspension setup.

He might also be talking about circuit racing too, and you have to make minor adjustments to Final Gear or 1st & 2nd; depending on length of straights in the track. You wouldn't want to top out several hundred feet early and lose precious seconds on the lap time and, at the same time, have too long of gears and lose time for slow acceleration. That's just assuming the car doesn't have some crazy powerband like a few of the ones out there.

Very true. I assumed we all know what that means. For a circuit gear box that's a very good set up longer gears keep wheel spin down and that means your on the power sooner.
As for topping out several hundred feet before the end that's a mixed bag there. I've had cars that hit 240 at the end of the straight or they hit 240 a two hundred feet before the breaking point and I couldn't work out a better box to get more speed in that two hundred feet so I went with capped box cause I'd rather be doing 240 for longer then accelerating for longer.

Sometimes 10 or 15 clicks on 6th(or whatever your last gear is) will be enough to help you top out another 2MPH higher and shave a tenth of a second off your time. It wouldn't hurt your low-end acceleration at all, but adjusting the gears could also affect your top-end acceleration to limiter. Trial and error, in the end, is the only way to know for sure. I stopped playing months ago but I'm glad some people still enjoy the thrill of the tune. 👍

Very true I've been building short n' long transmissions for a while they annoy the crap outta the drivers cause of the shifting but even top 100 drivers have never been able to improve upon them.

As far as I'm concerned, you can reset a transmission to default, set top speed and set each ratio without ever touching final. There's been no evidence of final ratios making any difference to acceleration or top speed as far as I'm concerned. Just look at the transmission tuning event, it has very, very, very similar results across a wide style of transmissions.

Of course you can move final and increase top speed... but moving final, then changing top speed slider, then changing final again... it's effectively no different to setting the top speed slider right where you need it right from the start.

Agreed, the transmission when tuned is not a huge difference like suspension set up. The main advantage to a tuned is minimizing wheel spin and shifting

Great discussion and intresting points of view/philosophies. Some of this I agree with, however, I am still learning/testing/ developing my own way of building a gear package. I would like to encourage the OP to read all you can find, test all theories, and develope your own style. In my opinion, I dont think any one tuner has it "figured out", and there is room to grow.
