With collision on, are staggered starts used? Never hosted a game, but I've participated in a staggered start race before.

In a word, yes. For obvious reasons if you switch collisions on for rally staggered starts are enforced. However you can stagger with ghosts I believe, or definately could in Dirt 2 though it kind of defeated the purpose of staggered.

Questions:

1. Where are other cars we saw in trailers (e.g. Skoda S2000, Peugot and Fiat are good but why omit the IRC champions)

2. Why there is no set-up for cars in online races, default set-up doesn't always suit my needs

1. Those cars aren't out (yet) may come in DLC however. No idea where the above poster thinks the Skoda is it's certainly not in S2000 if anywhere as of this moment. Or not on PS3 anyway.

2. This is only true of ranked events, you can choose in Jam Sessions to have set up allowed. It is shut off for Pro Tour so nobody gains an advantage from set up and it's more driver based who wins.

Some hosts disable the option to set up your car.

I'm curious since F1 2011 is probably going to be running on a similar engine as Dirt 3. Are you guys able to use the DS3 along with your wheel in Dirt 3? Like on GT5 where you can have your controller assigned as 2nd and still use the buttons

@allanoff, no you can't. I got spoiled with GT5 and that ability, ability to use controller for navigating is ideal.

Is the Colin McCrae charity pack available to PS3 users yet? I seen people saying they got it on PS3 but when I went too DLC the only thing there was the VIP pass.

I just bought it, however my Escort is only showing up as usable in the 70s section and NOT in the Open class where it is blanked out and it says I need to buy it.

I bought it too funnily enough.

In the 70s class at least it's nowhere near as quick as the World Class Dirt 2 one which I ran, but it still has that sweet handling balance with just the right amount of slip for me anyway. Perhaps if it is supposed to be in open as well it may be quicker on the straights in there and would need to be putting down a few more horses in order to compete.

The McRae Charity pack only includes the '70s car. The Open class car is a different DLC pack.

I was getting the same thing in the earlier RX races. I don't think it's tied to the actual leaderboard, but I may be wrong. I'm curios about an answer too.

Yeah. Go back and read the paragraph that explains the DLC. It's specifically states "'70s Escort Mk. II and 5 liveries." I missed it initially as well.

I've noticed that this game has sent my ps3's fan level to a higher speed... it has also caused me to freeze once.

And now the effects have possibly spread. Last night, the console froze when I was returning to the XMB from a different game, and once again upon quitting LittleBigPlanet2.

Anyone else having similar issues? Someone had told me about an optional FW that helps reduces this (for the newer games)... (on a 160gb phat btw).

People are also experiencing the same issues on LA Noire. Have you got FW 3.65?

Well if you want to update it as its optional you must go to System Update in XMB. It fixed my fan getting loud. I run a 40gb fat.

Complete a Time Trial race in a vehicle from each class of Rally

Don't know if I have it yet, but basing my judgment on the description alone.... it doesn't matter.. All you have to do is have done a race, regardless of how many races, using at least one car from each Rally Class.

Since I don't think you can time trial in DiRT Tour, it has to be in single player. There should be a "time trial" section in the menus.
