Yeah, it's under single player mode in the main menu.
It's possible to run cars from the Power & Glory car pack against players who do not have them. So I'm guessing that the stage that is run will be taken from the host's library of available stages. I don't think it would really be a problem, because the game is run off the server. The only disadvantage people without the Monte Carlo pack will have is unfamiliarity with the stages. But then, I intend to get the pack the moment I find it's available, so it's not going to be a problem.
And if they're adding events with the Monte Carlo pack, then I hope they add a whole lot and not just one or two plus a Rallye Monte Carlo in the World Tour. I wonder if we're getting Trailblzer stages, too ...
Judging by the track maps that I posted in another thread, you'd have to race them dozens of times to learn them all. I've had the game for a month now, and there are still stages that haven't fully ingrained themselves into my brain. I don't know them instinctively.
Seven Hundred and Twenty P's....
if that was too hard to comprehend then try this:
Max definition of DiRT3 = 720 x P
AOS-So what happens when enough votes are made in pro tour? Does the designated event get changed?
Is anybody else having trouble unlocking acheivements? One of the ones that was included for Monte Carlo is called "The Tourist" and requires you to go 100mp/h (161km/h) in Monte Carlo. It's actually pretty difficult; I managed to do it with the Delta S4 in time trial and the Audi Quattro in single race, but I haven't unlocked it yet.
The Tourist
Drive in excess of 100 miles (161 km) in Monte Carlo
Getting through all the new Monte Carlo DiRT Tour races once will get you near enough half way to this total. For the rest I would just suggest heading online and playing jam session rally events, since you can dictate what tracks you join or select if you make your own game. You can go for "French Connection" and avoid having to boost it afterwards if you want since you will need to do a good bit of racing on these tracks anyway.
AOS-Yeah, if the people who make threads will be more committed to this stuff...
If all else fails, just asks any questions here, regardless of how many times asked.
breditaThis thread is now 9 pages long.
Maybe it's time to create some sort of an index in the first post, to make it easier to find your question (and answer)? That way we can avoid having (god forbid) more than one thread with questions (and answers)?
AOS-I've made an index for a Q&A for burnout in the past (not on GTP)... It takes patience, but if you can sit on a computer for an hour, you most certainly "have the time" to do it.
