How can I get my car to have a quick launch of the line for drags, I have got a few of my cars to have quick launches but if I try the same method on other cars it won't work. So what I'm asking is what settings will help me launch quicker. (I have TC and all other aids off apart from ABS using manual and racing softs)

Thanks.

What car are you talking about? Might be able to help you better to know what you are dragging...

FR cars tend to launch better with stiffer suspension in the back.

Any respected drag racer will tell you what I just said.

I believe the exact opposite.

Look into ur LSD settings. Suspension helps :)
But this post doesn't help. :indiff: Tell him what he should do with the LSD and Suspension, not just that it helps to tweak them. That's a thing he already knows for sure.

@OP
What type of car?
RWD, AWD or FF? And what's your "method"? Have to know this to tell you what's wrong with it.

Right ok then well it depends on your ratio's really, if your gears are really long You want a stiff suspension, if your gears are short You want soft suspension to give it the pillow affect and transfer the weight so You don't bounce off the redline. Take the enzo for example, it works best with soft rear suspension because You need to make first so long. As i said it depends on your ratio's and You just work your suspension around it. Be it soft or hard whatever your need's are to compensate for your ratio's to do it!.

Well I've been trying to get a quick launch on the GTR Spec V and I'm just finding it impossible to tune that car and I don't really have a method I just try whatever and see if it works.

Thanks for the help so far everyone...

Also sorry for the late reply I was at school.

The GTR VSPEC is a joke...EVERYBODY uses that car... There are plenty of cars out there that can smoke it... My r34 is getting pretty close to taking them... Maybe not the ones with that "perfect tune" but majority I can hang with...

Did you post that to "boast" about your R34? lol joking.

Maybe? ;) lol... I just get tired of the VSPECs... And I figured if I could tune something to beat them I'd be a BOSS... lol...

lol is this the R34 in the normal dealership right?? I might try it out, I haven't got 1 of them because I brought the NUR II or whatever it's called from the UCD and never really paid attention to skylines after.

Yeah I will when I come online, but I will need to run the engine in first lol. Have you run your engine in??

Not yet... I stay online at Indy too much... Lol

Edit: how many miles does it take to break an engine in?

A Supra can beat a poorly tuned GT-R. If both are tuned, you would lose by AT LEAST 2 cars at Indy.

Well put. Your suspension is in direct correlation to your tranny. Get them to work together well and you've got yourself a fast car.

A supra beat my r34? Show it to me... Cuz if it's fast enough to beat me then ima do work on my supra... Haven't seen one yet tuned too great...

lol I didn't say mine was tuned that good. Mine traps 149mph with a decent launch while the R34 traps 152 with an epic launch. I'm saying that a car with a crap tune will get beat my almost anything. I've beaten many SpecV's with my r34 by a School bus or two. That doesn't mean R34 are faster, just that the guy with the GT-R has a sucky tune and his reaction time sucks.
