can someone please elaborate on this and tell me exactly how to get into the race?

cheers, fyfee

First, go the the M-Bz manufacturer's cup.
Second, win the DTM M-bz.
Third, Enter German touring car series.
Fourth, Trounce all competition. win useless prize car.
Fifth, Sell useless prize car for big money.
Repeat as necessary.

If above 25% completion run El Capitan enduro. win useful, but easily replaced prize car. Sell and repeat.

You need to win a race series that gives you a car which is eligible for the DTM series in the European Hall, or buy a DTM car.
Off the top of my head you can buy a DTM for 500,000Cr from Audi or Opel dealer, I think the Opel Astra touring car, Audi S4 touring car and Abt Audi TT touring car can be bought.

Otherwise, to win a car, complete in one of the following:

La Festa Italiano in European Hall to win Alfa Romeo 155 touring car
Opel Speedster Cup in Opel Dealer to win Opel Calibra touring car
Race of Silver Arrow in Mercedes Dealer to win Mercedes CLK touring car
Schwarzwald Liga B in European Hall to win Mercedes AMG 190 Evo II touring car.

I'm not sure if the BMW M3 GTR race car is eligible.

Hope that helps.

Can I also suggest you look here, and download the zipped word document that lists all the race requirements, prizecars, prizemoney and has a complete car list by manufacturer in it?

Unfortunately, the BMW is not eligible. But it will win the Enduro at El Capitan with ease.

Also, in Special conditions, the first set of races second race (the name slipped out of my head) is easily won for 10 grand in prize money (total).
And, it provides a 265,000 Cr. prize car.

That would be the Rally de Capri. On easy, you win the Toyta RSC Rally Raid car. It's not a bad race to run, and fairly easy to win.

For the DTM championship, where you win the near-750k credit Merc CLK-GTR, I found the two best cars to use are the Audi A4 touring car (not the TT), or the Mercedes CLK touring car. The A4 you have to buy, but the CLK is winnable through the Mercedes 'Legends of the Silver Arrow' manufacturer race. If you go the CLK road, it saves you about 500k on buying either of the Audis.

hi
look
you enter in special condition hall, then you enter in the Rally di capri(easy)
you'll win toyota RSC raid rally car, its cost is of 253.000
the better car for for it is the camaro lm
I make this when I want some money

What races you want to do depends on where you are in the game and what you are wanting to achieve. Ultimately as far as *game days* go, the Enduros are the way to run. El Capitan is a nice one - easy, short and with a very nice prize car. Enduros only take one game day to complete (plus the one day to sell the car). If you're saving for the black beauties and you need the money in a hurry - i.e. as little game days as possible - then do enduros.

The Capri rally takes two days (+1 to sell car) because you have to do the track both forwards and reverse to win the car. Compared to the enduros, it doesn't give as good a return per game day, but takes less *real time*.

If you're wanting to get as much money as possible in real time, and aren't worried about game days, then the DTM championship is the way to go. Most people I know B-spec it and use x3 speed to make it go quicker. Completing all the races takes about 15 minutes, give or take, and nets you a good return in money - prize money, championship money and car sale proceeds. The downside is that it takes five game days (+1 to sell the car), for a total of six game days. This kind of puts it out for people in a pinch who need the money in a short number of game days (i.e. to buy the black beauties, which only appear for one week in one hundred).

The other thing to consider is this: do you want to A-spec the races or B-spec them? If B-spec, do you want to be able to just set it up and leave it? If you do the DTM champ on B-spec, you need to continually monitor it and hit the buttons to progress races/screens. Enduros, on the other hand, can just be set up and then left. As long as your B-spec Billy-Bob Wally driver can keep ahead of the competition, you don't have to worry.

Well thanks for repeating what had already been said in posts before yours. Twice. :ouch:

From the same $$/minute of racing thread that the link in post #1 doesn't appear to work for, this single post on page 8 of the thread sums everything up, if a little unclearly. If you can teach your B-spec driver to drive well on ice, you can make a lot of cash quickly. :sly:
