I have been a QR fan for sometime now, now I'm wondering, who else on gtplanet likes this band.
Started sometime around 1975, in LA. The first album was the Japanese release "Quiet Riot I" With Kevin DuBrow on vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitars, Kelly Garni on bass, Drew Forsyth on drums. Later they also released Quiet Riot II, but still they didn't get much popular. In the early 80's, the band spil up, and Randy Rhoads joined Ozzy's band.
The band finally got attention with the album "Metal Health", and the song "C_um On Feel the Noize" which made the album be #1 on the charts in 1983.
The band had officially disbanned in Sept. 19, 2003, but they rejoined in October 2004. They also plan on releasing a new cd sometime this year.
Currently Quiet Riot is touring in South America with Baron Rojo. This Summer, Quiet Riot will join with Cinderella, Ratt, and Firehouse to do the "Rock Never Stops" tour
Some of the info I read on the "Metal Health" album booklet, (which doesn't have the lyrics), some of it from the Official Kevin DuBrow website, and some from the Metal Archives website.
That's some info about the band,
So does anyone listen to them today?
(I know the QR's music genre is Hard Rock, but still I'm use to calling them "Hair Metal", although, they didn't have the glam-image, they did have a steel-face mask)
