Quote notification/s?

Hi, I was wondering if this feature exists, or if it might possibly be added in the near future.

For example, I post on a thread, and someone quotes me, at the moment I have it set so I know when anyone replies to a thread I posted on (I'm subscribed to threads I post), but on larger threads this seems a little pointless, as there are many people talking, most of which aren't having a conversation with me, or about what I was posting about.

A quote notification feature, would allow people to opt-out of subscriptions, and instead be notified that 'x' poster has quoted you in 'y' thread, then provide a link to that specific post, to allow you to go straight to it, read it, and possibly respond.

Maybe this feature is already here, but I have difficulty getting the settings to do just what I want them to at the moment.

Such a feature isn't available in the current forum software, unfortunately. One of the platforms I'm considering switching to later this year, however, does support this functionality.

Well if we do swap to that system, would be a nice feature to have.
