R.I.P. Marco Pantani

Just heard on the news that Marco has been found dead in his flat.

Marco Pantani is my Hero in the world of cycling. To me there was no one more modest or brilliant. I read this on Sunday morning on Eurosport and i just froze. I cant believe it. 34 years old, man, i just feel so terrible to lose a man that i feel like i know personally. I have the '98 tour complete on vhs (the one he won) and watch it regularly.....i loved this guy so much that if my child was born a boy, he would have been named....Marco.

i still cant believe my hero is dead....sleep well Marco, you will be terribly missed.

the world is a darker place without il Pirata.
