well some of you may have seen my car, Mark 4 golf 1.6SR
She managed to do Silverstone
Lydden hill (apex festival 2013)
and Brands hatch (Prept showdown 2013)
covered over 20,000 miles in the 18 months I had her, on track three times and other than an exploding clutch was a good runner.
but, coming home at 1am after taking my girlfriend out for valentines day, was pitch black, heavy rain, on an unlit country road, and a car was coming towards me, so full beam turned off, could see another car coming down the hill so kept it off.
then a tree had fallen blocking the road, didn't see it at all, first I knew of it was when my air bags went off, so it was full on at around 50MPH. while waiting for the police in another car a second tree fell landing on the back of my car and the bonnet of the car I was waiting in. this is in end result.
had a fun time, and it had just hit 121,000 miles. had a lot spent on it but was more painful just seeing her go. I finally get it see it for the first time tomorrow without the trees so slightly scared. for me I got out unhurt, just a small cut on my knee where it hit the dash, had to climb out the back as the front door where jammed shut.
I plan on taking some pics tomorrow.
