Race series and stock customization.

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone would agree with the following or if anyone new if the following was possible.

What I'd like to see in GT5, is more Race Cars and Race series. All be it the cars are based on their real life racing cars or actually get a liscence to use these cars in the game. e.g. I'd like to have DP's and Rolex GT cars in the game with an ultra-competitive version of the Grand-Am series somewhere in the game and maybe even a Rolex 24 in the endurnace hall of GT5.

Also, if we can buy Mustangs and Ruf RGT's and the like, why can't we customize them very particularly so they can be more luxurious, sports oriented streetable, pocket-rocketesc, or even full blown racers. Forza Motorsport came pretty close to what I wanted but not quite 100% there. I'm talkin' being able to take your '05 Mustang GT and turn it into baisically the only resemblance to the car purchased is the body and name. I'd like to be able to put in a 302cid carbourated V8 to run in an "American Sedan" style race a la SCCA. Or take the stock motor and really be able to tune it in detail to fit the regulations of a certain race. I know it's a tough pill to swallow for the game creators but I want every minute aspect of the car tuneable. And maybe, for certain races make the earnings more realistic and give fees and stuff to enter series/races and force competitors to work for sponsorship etc. etc. etc.

How crazy do my ideas sound? Does anyone think they are do-able?

i'd likt to do the same to a Aston Martin DB9 if we dont get the DBR9!

yeah thats what i was thinking. id love to recreate the entire Spa 24 Hour, Sebring 12 Hour, Daytona 24 Hour and Le Mans 24 Hour fields (at least GT with Sebring Daytona and Le Mans, you kinda need the Prototype's built in.)
