I was just racing in the motegi super speedway and there was a black r92cp that i was racing. Has anyone else raced against any other black cars? I thtought that was pretty cool that i was racing one of the black cars.

Yes, I have, it just happens randomly, when you go to Race Meeting, there is a 50% chance that you'll be against a Black car (Nissan R92, Toyota GT-ONE, Mazda 787b and Nissan R390), then it's normal livery.
Oh, and incase you didn't know, the Black Cars can be bought from the used car lots (Early and Late 90's) on the last week of the cycle (days 694-700, then the next last week etc.)

Interesting, were you in a race meeting as George suggests or an actual game-percentage real event (from the Professional Hall, Extreme Hall and so on)? If you were in a 'real' game race, this is something I haven't seen before

Well, if he is on about a percentage race, then like you, I've never seen a black race car in one either, maybe I could run a test, such as enter the 'Real World Tours' twenty times and see if I come up against one.
Although, after 10 re-entries of the Gran Turismo All Stars, I saw no black cars (I did 10 entries for an information thread).

I already have all 4 of the black cars and i was racing in the motegi endurance. I think i was racing in my pescarolo or minolta.

might take a while. I wasn't even trying to race against one, it just happened to be there.
the other day i bought the Dodge Viper GTS-R team Oreca '96 and when i went to do a track day i was up against alot of the 4.5 million cr. cars and one of them was a Black Mazda 787B. (Oh and if you put a stage 4 turbo in the viper it easily keeps up with the 4.5 million cr. cars easily so its a steal for 1,000,000 cr)

I managed to purchase all 4 of the black race cars, but IMO, I think the Toyota GT One has got to be one of the slowest high power cars on the game, even when it's tuned a little bit.
Now granted, you can do the wheelie trick with it, albeit not 1300mph like on GT3, but still fast enough to win the "Like The Wind" challenge easily.
This car just keeps getting spanked. Once again, this is only my opinion. Has anyone ever used this car for any high power races?

I've dabbled with it a bit in a few races in the GTWC, GT All Stars and Real Circuit Tours (Sarthe mostly). It can win those races stock with oil and chassis refresh, but it seems to me it'd be hopeless in B-spec at least without adding a turbo. The R92CP and 787B are better cars IMO.
I've never seen any of the black cars in the AI either, but I haven't done many Family Cups with LMP's/Group C's and I hardly do arcade mode at all.

Actually, you'll want TornadoAlley's spreadsheet for the NA (NTSC) version of the game. Famine's version is for PAL users. (There's sticky links to both spreadsheets at the top of the main GT4 forum.)
