I was bored at work the other day so during lunch I began to make my own race track. I didnt know where to start since I've never tried doing this on paper with a pen, so I just went for it. This is what I got. I made 2 of them, please tell me whats good about them, whats wrong about them...and what can i change to make them better. Well, there u go, Im thinking of buying a large paper to make one with even more detail....what for?? no reason, just because I like to draw :)

The bottom one is not finished, some of the runoff's are not colored in, and on the top one, the track is a bit hard to see. But its there. Anywho, Im still debating on weather (On the 2nd one) to make the runoff's gravel or asphalt. ..Hmmmm.

That's what it's always been about man. :)👍

They look great, the both of them. Great to see some original creativity flowing.

They both look excellent, but what gives a track character is elevation change, something hard to capture in drawing. Going from strictly topographics, the second one seems to my liking, from a driver's viewpoint. Reminds me somewhat of my fave Gran Turismo track, Apricot Hill. What does bother me on yours is the first turn. If you're coming off the straight (I'm presuming we're going clockwise here) with speed, that first turn isn't really that effective as a turn, it's more of a speed-reducer, where you bat down 2 gears, go around a simple kink and towards the next turn. Those are the most frustrating for me because of the lack of any real radial turn. There's some on Laguna Seca and Suzuka has a handful of them as well, which make it my least favorite track in history. That's all personal taste though.

Good job, looks like a really fun little side-project to go through with.

dam u brought up a good point...I didnt realize it. And me, one who likes long turns say like monza's curve after the 1st chicane, or like the old Tumborello.....hmmmm.... anywho, yea its fun to come up with stuff, especially when it has to do with drawing :), got me in trouble in school, but has yet to do that at work....

Dude stick to it. Any good teacher will let you draw in their class. I draw every single class of every day. I know the arguments that convince the teachers to let me keep the pen and paper out.

Be honest, they'll respect that more than a lie.

I did that all through High school....and I still graduated!!!

damn, im gonna start doing that now. great job. i like both of em, but the first one is the one id really like to drive...

got names for em??? :)

I dont really know what to name them.... but yea I'd like to drive on them too :) And these are tracks that I'd like to see here in the states.....i love indy having the U.S GP, but IMO it would be nice to have one of those supertracks for the U.S GP....but a good one. Thats what sort of gave me the inspiration to draw and make up my own tracks.

They look awesome. If you ever want to see it in a game (at least), I suggest pitching the idea to someone at RSC Forums. I'm sure they could make something of it.

Just a suggestion. ;)

J/k, they look fantastic. Better than some of the ones I've come up with.
