Racing game to use with Controller

Hey folks, been an Iracing driver for a few years until I sold my wheel G27 with plans to get a new Fanatec CSL or save a bit for the 2.5. Well, about 2 weeks before I was going to buy a wheel life happened and not only was my wheel money gone, but so was my wheel.

So I haven't been playing any racing games of any kind for about a year and a half. It's killing me. So I just went and bought a Xbox controller and want to just get a regular racer to kill some time with.

I'll be playing on PC so what is good? Since I'll be playing single player, a good campaign or career mode would be nice. I picked up Project Cars for like $5 and playing it on a controller was a complete nightmare. So I uninstalled it. I was thinking Forza 7, but also saw Dirt 4. Not sure what else I've been missing since I started driving in Iracing. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Tell me about it.

Project CARS 2 is eons better with a controller though (on PS4 anyway). I can actually be competitive with one this time, unlike the first game.
