There are so many cars in this game... Has anyone ever done a list of cars that will race modify. Not all of them do. I would like to see some. but Have to buy them without nowing if they will race modify... A good example of nice looking cars that you may have missed is the corvette grand sport. It modifies into a nice patriotic theme.

Yes, this is something that was posted over at the GTF, which is currenlt down. If I happen to find it somewhere I'll link to it.

ahh, the good old days of being able to modify your car. these days u cant on gt3, what a shame. anyway, about 90% of the cars on on gt2 can be modified. and dont u just hate havin to fork out 40k for the weight reduction.

Info about what? There's a few topics on this page already, I'm not sure which one you mean.

Thanks PB. I am referring to a list of cars in GT2 that can and CAN NOT be fitted with racing livery. I recall that I purchased at least 2-3 cars that couldn't be race modded. I figure what ever list Pupik had would have been most helpful. Alas, I can not tighten up with any such list on this board or any other that I've come across.

Anyone...?, Any... well, you know the rest! :dopey:

Good look A.A.Z. ! In Car List 1 you have a column for race weight. So can I presume that any car you have a weight entry for can be race modified? And vice versa, any car that does not have an entry CAN NOT be race modified? Or are these simply cars from your own garage that you have modified?

Actually, Pupik's website has info on this, too.

http://www.formulanone.org/gt2/cars/all.htm

On the list, one of the columns is labeled "RM", and if the car can get a race-kit it says "Y" for yes. If it can't get a race mod it'll obviously say "N" for no. And if it already is a full-racing car, it'll say "R". There's also a list of which cars can get off-road tires and a bunch of other useful stuff.

And while we're on the subject...if any of you knows a good listing of GT4 cars, and various specs like weight and stuff, I could use it. All the gamefaqs sites seem to just list the cars, but no specs.

Gooooood look, King & PB! Exactly what I needed.

Parnelli, thanks for the tip on Pupik's site. Too bad he couldn't get the time to put together something similar for GT3, GT4. Keep searching...

Yea he told me he took some computer class or soemthing, And for one of his projects, he made those lists. I was begging him for the GT3 cars list, but he tells me he never finished it. :(

Since Racing Modifications were in GT1 and GT2, but they weren't in GT3 and GT4, they could bring back Racing Modifications in GT5!
BIGGER RATINGS AND SALES FOR THEM!!!!!!! (if they put in racing modiications)

This is for talking about the racing mods in GT2, not GT5. Please keep your posts on topic. Thanks.

I doubt it'll happen (it being the ability to take a pedestrian car and turning it into a full racing machine) in GT5 to the full extent that was found in GT1 and 2. PD is trying their darndest (apparently) to put weather and car damage in GT5, according to the rumors and various interviews I've read. I'd be happy if they managed this.

But that's the thing. That's one of the reasons to "go back" to the earlier games. They offer something very cool, not found in later games.

As much as I would like RMs to return, I doubt it. Most probably we'll get exterior customisations (bumpers, side skirts, spoilers , etc) and a livery editor. I can't see PD taking the time, effort and licensing to create individual RMs for 600+ cars with GT5 graphic levels. It would mean a 2020 release . Whatever comes though, I believe it will be truly epic. If not, I'll just go back playing GT1/2 :D.
