I spent hours practising for the nations cup race tonight, the first race froze 15 laps in out of 16

The 2nd race some kid made it his mission to ram me every lap. He had some technique where he would take the inside and push me out hard, and I would get a 1-sec penalty and often hit a barrier and he would get nothing, he did this like 6 times keeping us both in last until I finally got past him and made it to 9th. What a waste of a night.

6 time's ? after 2 i think i would have come up with a plan to counter :( but stuff like that happens in every game like Nuschel said
your best bet is to meet some guys running weekly races. But even then i found it to stressful so only race online for fun not medals

If you want proper online racing find yourself a league here or wherever, Sport Mode is just too full of tryhards and idiots.
I'm both an idiot and a try-hard and I want to have fun too :P
Just frustrated as I just finished building my cockpit and this was my first race in weeks

I like sport mode a lot but there can be some unsavory drivers out there with bad intent or just bad judgement. I can say I definitely have made mistakes that have caused others grief so it's just a part of the landscape. I just always try to drive clean and not get into any feuds. The drivers that brake test for penalties are frustrating, doesn't seem much like racing, but you see it a lot. Even with the AI on chicanes. And I detest drivers that are good at the slight nerf to the outside on turn exits. Great for getting a tire off and losing traction so you can watch your assailant pull away. It's a subtle but cheap move making the "rubbing is racing" term a little more borderline.

I'm not a massive online gamer - I blame growing up when same screen racing was a good as it gets - in saying that though, I have been doing the occasional sport daily race and quite enjoying them.
No real bad punting that I've seen, or when it was I've driven past them as they went careening off track.

Rather enjoyable so far, and I'm often sad to see a daily race combo change before I've enjoyed it enough.
