the reason i put it here is because i made it especially for Gran Turismo 5

I know, but it mostly covers building a Sim Racing rig rather than its purpose. Besides, moving it to the Sim Racing hardware forum will get you better feedback 👍

Nice rig, though ;)

Why did you decide to enclose the seat like that? Looks like it's going to be a pain to get in and out off, and the plywood enclosure isn't really adding to the stability of the wheel support, since they aren't connected.

Maybe add a "car door" as well? :P

a door would be nice i might add one in the future but right know my focus is on sticking on my design and finishing the cockpit.

And when it will be done the steering wheel platform will be very solid

Its not going to be pain getting in and out because the platform holding the steering wheel will move forward to get in or out and when pulled in it will locked so it doesn't move.
and adding plywood will add stability but would still be flimsy side to side i new that so i will be adding some strapping on the out side of the cockpit were the steering platform will slide.

with the plywood tightly mounted on the floor of the cockpit and the strappings on the outside it will act as rails. This will also stop the platform from moving side to side.

know that it will have rails and be locked to the the main body the platform should be very solid.

i'm gonna try but there is not proper way of reverse mounting the pedals since i'm using a DFGT
If anybody has some tips on how to reverse mount the DFGT pedals
