Racing tactics and car rivals!

Do you catch them on the straight or your more the corner man? I like to use the out side then switch into the inside and catch them on the inside corner.

Also have you seen those crazy cars that seem so much more extra powerful. You would be racing a very fast and tuned car, and the AI seems to Blast right past you. The Ferrari 599 GTO I hate for S class races and the Saleen s7 SS is annoying for R2 Races.

I've driven the S7 in a couple of races so I don't get this problem quite as much.

I tend to catch the Ferrari 458s etc round the corners with my storebought Merc 190E tune.

I love making those passes. Even better is when they pass me on the inside going in and then they can't hold the bottom of the track and slide up just enough for me to pass them back on the inside on the same corner.

BTW im referring to online racing against other people.

Yes, the "Xbox Live pass" as I know it. Just last night someone was bouncing off walls to catch up with me at Rally di Positano, and at one point I could tell I'd be the next "wall" on the upcoming corner. It's SO EASY sometimes -- brake early on the far outside, wait a little bit, and after they've screamed past the inside line and into the wall, just zip on through. Works every time.

I usualy set my passes up in a way that I can just carry much more speed through a corner and pass the AI on the following straight. I've found that that is the safest way to pass the AI for me, without getting my car scratched up.

Unless I'm doing F-Class races in my H Alpha. My 'tactic' for overtaking the AI is pretty simple, then: If they don't move out of my way, I'll make them move. Works like a charm, really.

And I've experienced only one event in World Tour where the AI gave me trouble, and that was a C-Class event at Sebring Short. A Dodge Dart Super Stock was outrunning me on the straigths so hard, I couldn't make up for it in the corners...
