Is anyone starting to arrange anything or considering starting a racing team for the online mode?

I'm looking to join a UK/EU team, just wondering whats available out there :sly:

You have to know that thousands of people are pondering this very thing. There may be several leagues alone or more created by key members here. This is something I'm definitely looking forward to, time permitting.

Yeah I'm sure the powers that be are considering creating leagues etc
But surely there are people like me who'd want to get in a team of 4 or more drivers to enter all the leagues as a single team, as opposed to for example: me being in 4 different teams of drivers for 4 different leagues.

God I hope PD gives us a livery editor, just imagine the starting grid, all teams with their own livery/colours, 2 drivers from each team... would be awesome

I declare a new WRC series coming soon to international lands near you:)

Perhaps, said teams could start from the Swift cup and progress torwards an F2007 championship?

Hopefully GT5 will make it easy to setup said teams, without having to setup forums and websites etc, just a small band of four or five drivers don't need all that crap.

I know of a few teams coming to GT5 including BRC, UKOG, and some members from the team im with TRC.

Im sure many other teams will be coming over to GT5 as racing teams from Forza 2 was very popular. Some of these people are incredibly talented which should prove to make GT5 very competitive.

I'm gonna see if I can manage to convince the NCCL I'm currently in to come over on GT5. The Mods already seem impressed by what they have seen and it .

Also(if anyone is interested), I might start up world Stock car championship.

Theres going to be ALOT of Ex-NASCAR 09 guys coming over (myself included) that will be bringing their leagues and teams over. The league I'm apart of, The Real Online Championship Series (The ROCS), is widely considered the largest and most prestigious NASCAR 09 league around, so we'll more than likely be coming over to the GT5 NASCAR ranks so long as enough Oval tracks are available.

Will be great to see all the teams forming when GT5 is out.. will be so much fun! Hopefulle we'll get some sort of livery editor.

Ah, I've heard of that series before. Would be a pleasure to race with you guys.

The Rumble Strippers will be the name of my racing team, if I ever make one. Anyone In? It's a good name isn't it?

I'll be forming a drag racing league and team.

All cars are welcome and will be broken down into classes.I am still ironing out details.I will post full details as soon as possible.

Oh awesome. Where'd you hear about us? If you play NASCAR 09 you could apply for a Truck series team. It isn't easy to get in but if you do get in it is some of the best racing on the game.

"Team Appalachia comin at ya"

Currently have 2 members and taking applications, lol.

You must drink Budweiser, chew tobacco, use a lawn mower to get to the nearest store (preferably while drinking Bud) or have an education no higher than 8th grade to be accepted, along with living in the majestic Appalachians :)

^I actually seen a dude driving on the sidewalk on a lawnmower at an intersection...It was in one of those one horse towns in Georgia.

Looks like the day GT5 comes out, GT4 will be only but a memory (and a very good memory)

I've seen the videos on Youtube (this was a year before I got a account, a PS3 and Nascar 09). I do have the game, but I'm in another series(along with College coming) so I'll have to look at the schedule before I decide.

:tup:haha awsome man,my guys and I have formed our drag team along time ago and cant wait to get on GT5.

we are "TEAM DIG"

Has anyone formed a UK/EU racing team thats taking on drivers at the minute or even got a website?

Or is everyone holding out for GT5 to see how it all works(online mode, gt5 team mode etc) before making any decisions?

Holding out until PD throws us dogs out a bone , then final decisions can be made as far as how to classify cars according to the PP / Weight / Drivetrain configuration , a lot of variables to be considered. :sly:

Same here. It'll better for us to figure out what specific restrictions and or specs can be once we actually have full concrete detail.

It will be interesting to see what types of racing teams there will be on GT5.

1. Hotlapping racing teams.
2. Online racing teams.
3. Those who participate in both.
4. Those who don't compete seriously on the above and just want like minded people to share their passion.

One thing if the leaderboards are similiar to GT5P then it will be hard to dominate all the boards due to the sheer number. Im really curious to see what PD will do because if each car has its leaderboard then combined with the tracks, standard/pro physics that could mean 120,000 scoreboards (1000cars+ 60 tracks= 60000x2 standard/pro physics=120,000).

Most probably just have to pick favorite tracks/cars!

Oh, seriously. The livery editor in Forza games are one of those big things I appreciate, and being able to create your own racing scheme is such a thrill, especially when you see it on the track. What I would hate to see is no livery editor in GT5, and a Super GT race field with half the cars made up of the Raybrig NSX. Gah... :P

I'd love to join a team, but thinking about it, I'm doing 4 or 5 things besides gaming, and only have time to race sporadically. So I might have to settle for casual joins in one run or short challenge races.

I doubt a "team" will be restricted to one type of car, or pp level.

That all depends on the team principals involved. He / she can set up anything they desire with the private room option.(assuming we'll get that, anything should be possible to set up)

Example : Team Owner Mr. ABC123 wants to run an all Lotus Elise 111R Tuned event @ HSR 650PP against Team Owner 123ABC . If you don't meet the criteria - no entry - simple. :sly: 👍 :)

I do see your point 👍, all teams I'm sure will carry a variance of cars and PP's / drivetrains / weights depending upon the event they wish to run.
