Personally I like the handling of the Toyota RSC - it keeps me off the walls. I used it in all the races up to the full IB set with the exception of Grand Canyon Reverse. I have not tried further yet.

Some people seem to prefer the 206 Rally Car, but I did far worse in it than in the RSC. I am curious at the 1.5Mill car mentioned in that other thread. Also I heard of a sacrilege that I must of course try sometime soon... the NSX type R on dirt!!!

np, pheoniz, ibelieve ur talkin about the evo super rally car? 1.35mil?
I think that's it. I don't have it yet. But I need something to beat the Grand Canyon Reverse... it's got me stumped. (but I've been focusing on american races today)

im like scared of the american races, they are tougher to tune for me and harder o drive, though id have to make an exeption for the ford gt. its expensive, but the super rlaly car still does require some tuning.

the sad thing is that i havent even beaten the pro hall yet, ive just been using my 88c to pump me some cash.

It is all about what car you use. I have been beating them in both A and B spec. Try the following...
(1) Race the Chrysler race... win Viper (good to b-spec several of the endurance races when upgraded, including 24h nurburgring and 200Mile El Capitan)
(2) Race the Chevrolet races with used Camaro and Corvette... for a challenge don't upgrade fully - or it will be too easy.
(3) I think that the Stars and Stripes can be won with the Chaparral from the 4Hr Nurburgring - it was the lead car when I tried it. Tonight it's 4Hr ring while I sleep (using the Minolta I got from El Capitan - yes I'm lazy - but I'll try that race again A-spec in the future)
(4) I am not sure which prize car will be needed for All American... I'll probably know sometime this weekend.
(5) I think I won muscle car and hot rod with the other used or prize cars. Maybe the Cien and/or the Chevelle.

BTW, if you have extra cash I made a summary of "desirable" used cars from recommendations and my own experiences. It is at: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66326&page=1&pp=20

ayte, thanks alot bro, ill try them out,i got the evo 6 tme one and yrea, ima get the cobras
Ah... here is the final part of the answer. That Corvette Grand Sport '96 beats the Stars and Stripes easy, and the prize car beats the All American. In both A and B-specs.

Some consider the RAM a cheat car to reach 200 point races, but I will tell you I hated rallying until I maxed out the RAM and took it for a try at the Special Condition races, it is a blast to drive in the dirt, snow, and gravel. Max all add ons except for weight reduction, and permanent horse power. It will have 600+ horse power. Here's the settings:

Springs: take off 1.0 front and rear
Ride height: max
Bound: 5/5
Rebound 6/6
Toe: default 2.0/1.0
Camber: 0/0
VCD: 45
LSD: 10/40/5 20/40/16
Auto: +2
Final:default

Have fun.

For me, it's the other way around, I only started the special conditions yesterday. My first try was the Toyota RSC from the second SC-race. I couldn't get it around the Grand Canyon with a decent time, so, since I had some cash to spend (left over from the Cleared Professional Hall and 2 Endurance races), I bought the Peugeot 206 WRC, first try: won easily with more A-spec points (4, it's not a lot but better then 1 ;-) )

I still can't get used to driving on ice and snow but I'll manage soon enough (did so on Colin Mc R. Rally so I also will on GT4.

Anyone any suggestions for settings, I only tried default!

lol... we are truly opposite. Ice is the only gold license I got and did it on my first try (with the RSC). I'm happy with bronzes (most at first try) so that I can focus on racing. Except for the guided laps that help learning new tracks I hate license tests - with a passion! But I must admit.. in GT3 they taught me a lot.

practice makes perfect, but just remember that countersteering is ur best friend. like zardoz said, wallriding is cheap and effective. he used the expensive super rally car, i bought one too, but now i use a dodge ram that gets me 200 a spec points per race, lollers. i win dirt and , if u snow races with that. remember, u can apply the wall ride technique to the other car too, just hit him witht ur tail and make him eat the wall.

o crap, i didnt see parkers post, lollers, im glad other people now of the dodge ram :0

gj jparker, thats some pretty good settings u got there.

Then you use jparker's settings 👍 and a borrowed whee and... what a difference!!! I improved my times by 30-60 secs! Life is good, really good!
Thanks man, I killed the Special Conditions with that setup. It's pretty solid.
