Rally Style Hill Climb

If GT incorporated this type of racing/time trial, Rally event or test, how well can you pull it off. Me, I could at least get a bronze or perhaps a silver after hours and hours of practice. I actually think a pretty skilled racer like some of you would enjoy this.

Yeah 'cause I drove Goodwood in a demo and it was completely underwhelming, too narrow to be fun, and just too short. We need awesome ptp tracks.

I would love to have short, challenging hillclimb or point-to-point time trials. Even as short as one to two miles.

I used to hillclimb a Dodge Omni GLH Turbo in a few Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association events and I can say they are quite challenging. Guardrails, drop-offs, huge trees, weather and traffic beaten roads and variance in road contour and surface inconsistencies. I really miss doing it in reality - I would love to do it in a virtual world.

Maybe in the track editor - there will be a hillclimb/point-to-point option. We can only hope!

Knocking wood that we will have a nice rally mode in GT6. Seeing we get the old Audi etcetera it would be nice if we have nice rallytracks to race em on, circuit style and point to point style.

I remember me and my mate had lot's of fun racing eachother with the rally modes in GT2-3.

I remember me and my mate had lot's of fun racing eachother with the rally modes in GT2-3.

They removed/haven't put in the car list the crop of WRC cars they introduced in GT5 so I doubt it, although with the influx of Pike's Peak cars we could see a lot more hillclimb type stages.

When I have seen that recently at Peugeot Museum (east of France), the video of Sebastien Loeb climbing Pikes Peak with the 208 T16, I expected that it would be included in GT6 (the track, the car, the event). It would be an ultra great special event or TT for GT6:

With dirt out of the equation I can't help but feel like it's any number of long winding roads. Ridiculous power, speed and G forces, on dirt, is what really makes it appeal to me.

I'm fine with any version. Asphalt only would allow a greater variety of cars to drive on it.

The inclusion of Pikes Peak would, for me, trump any potential user-created stages combined. If PD includes the option of no-collision racing without slipstreaming it would make for fantastic online events.
