Anyone tried the Raptor Challenge in GT League yet?
I used to hate the off road tracks in GTS. Maybe it's better with a wheel, but on the Ds4 it just seemed so artificial with the way the car slides around the track. And doing those last few driving school stages in the dirt was nearly as bad as the stop challenges. Needless to say, I didn't have much of a desire to revisit the dirt tracks after the initial impression.
With the recent update came the Raptor Survival. After playing most the day I decided I might as well check out the new content. To my surprise, ripping around the dirt track in the big truck, with 15 other trucks, was a hell of a lot of fun. Obviously it was exceptionally easy to get around beginner Ai, but the way it felt was well beyond what I had played before. If you're looking for a little break from the pavement, try jumping in the truck in GT league, switch to the cabin view and have fun ripping around those other trucks.
One unfortunate discovery I made, however, was that Raptor Survival is the only mode where you can race more than 1 other Ai on a dirt track... What's up with that? I think most of the fun I got out of that GT League event was because there were so many other cars to slip and slide around.
