Q: Which of the franchise that Rare owns do you intend on using?
Tim Stamper: With one word...everything!!We've allready mentioned Kameo, we've confirmed perfect dark- which we will show in playable form at E3 2003 - and Banjo Kazooie. We will create at least one more title in the style of conker's bad fur day, titles based on blast corps and killer instict, and 2-3 original ideas that we can't yet reveal

MS bought rare Ltd for $375 mil.

So, PD0 what the GC Fanboys Claimed to be the "Halo killer" is now exclusive to Xbox. Haha Suck it down GC!

So is Kameo, Blast Corps, Conker, Banjoe Kazooie, Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong, and a few others.

Oh god... gotta love it eh

Donkey Kong is definitely a Nintendo Property, as too is Killer Instinct I believe.
I'm not to phased by this, MS has been putting out some really lackluster games lately. Hopefully Rare can breathe some life into their gaming library, and I can dust mine off and give it some action.
I never really looked at PD0 as a Halo killer, I think Red Faction 2 or Timesplitters is aimed more in that direction. And more effectively so is Battlefield 1942 (although it's a PC, and possibly an Xbox title)

Once again, MS needs to buy out a company to get good games.

Rare may have left Nintendo on their own will because I think, they're being limited by Gamecube hardware. I hate to say it, but the XBox is more versatile then Gamecube and PS2. XBox has more processing power, better control, and bigger media storage. Imagine putting Perfect Dark on GC's 1.5 GB disc or putting it on a XBox 4.7 GB DVD disc, which one would you choose? I agree with Tom, PD isn't really a killer of Halo, let alone anything else.

It's amazing how little action there's been on the software front for the X-Box - especially since it's rumoured they need everyone with an X-Box to buy around 20 games for them to break even...
