PS5 users... Now the graphic options have been confirmed, reviews are out and some people are already playing the game, which mode will you chose to run the game with?

Performance for me, need those replays at 60 FPS! In fact I run all my games on performance, no amount of reflections compensates for a smooth gameplay experience.

I know that you can tell the difference in graphics with RT mode, but I seriously feel Performance gives the better gameplay overall. In fact, I only ever use performance mode instead of RT mode for every new game I've played on PS5.

Gameplay isn’t affected at all though, only everything else.

When I said gameplay, I included replays. 60 FPS to me >>>>> slightly better looking graphics. Graphics have become so advanced now that there's no longer that sort of "wow" factor that earlier games in the series had when a newer game came out.

Alright then. I agree by the way, I’ve played all my PS5 games in performance mode as well.

From what I’ve seen I really like how the cars look with RT enabled in GT7 though.

Replays are not gameplay
Cool

I do love how the RT looks in replays from what I have seen as well. I just hope that liveries aren't downgraded harshly like they were in GTS replays when you start panning closer to the car trying to get a photo. I don't believe that will be the case, but it did turn me off a bit back then.

I've gone for RT mode and whilst the body reflections are superb, wheels look dreadful with the RT in the garage.

Edited to elaborate on this further.

For whatever reason, semi-gloss OEM wheels now look too polished, there's a weird thing going on where the wheel hubs reflect light, as if they weren't in shade and there's an overall softness to the 3D model around the spoke edges and details. For a master of presentation, PD have dropped the ball with the way wheels RT. It's not an issue in Horizon 5, so maybe it's a bug?
