Re: Removal of Crashed Cars on Tracks???

Newbie wants to know if it is possible to remove any crashed cars on tracks. For the time being I am competing against the AI vehicles and there are times that several cars that crashed remained in the middle of the track for quite sometime which makes a real driving hazard to avoid them every time that you make another new lap. Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

How about the confused ones that drive backwards and forwards in one spot for the entire rest of the race because they don't know what they're doing? It's fun navigating the mobile hazards but also so stupid .

I finally experienced this with an AI test at Indy with vintage Indy cars. The problem was twofold. After a few laps, the AI started punting each other into the walls going through the corners. The resulting debris field left landmines to collect future cars for the rest of the race. At least the chassis of the incapacitated car was returned to the pits, but tires/hoods/body panels/etc remained for the rest of the race.

Now, I think this can be helped by lowering the aggression. I had it at 80 which I have used for other cars, but perhaps open-wheel needs it lower. I will test that.

Still, it would be nice if loose race car bits had an expiration time when sitting on the track, say 1 minute or whatever would be most appropriate.

In pc1 the debris vanished after 60 seconds. Ovals I use Aggression 50

I had read about people turning it down (although not that low). I had it up higher to encourage passing at Daytona with sports cars, but I'll have to test in that direction. 👍
