Well, in a life of a teenager, there are some moments where you are really bored (I think). I was in one of these moments and decided to search a bit for funny or silly things on the internet. And when I typed in "laser guns" on Google, I found this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AnselmoFanZero

Okay, working laser guns? "My life is complete now." I thought, and then i saw that you can actually order these guns on this website: http://www.laser-gadgets.com/

Alrighty then, you can even order them. So! What do you guys think about it? Or would you even order one of them? Let me know in the added poll.

Will never be used by the army though. Mirrored armour would make everyone invincible.
As for civilian use. Meh. It's a fad that will wear off.

If you got everyone on the other side to wear mirrors and plaster mirrors all over their armor, you've won the war.

Laser weaponry will only work if the beam is heated to an extreme temperature. Laser beams are much different than bullets in a way that they aren't solid and don't have an aerodynamic shape, which means that they would not gain speed and have to rely entirely on muzzle velocity and heat.

Direct energy weapons will happen some day, and the battlefield will turn into an ugly mess. Why? Bullet wounds kill and incapacitate through blood loss, direct energy weapons cauterize the wound instantly and kill nerve cells before the can signal pain. No blood loss, little pain. So to kill and incapacitate people with direct energy weapons you really have to mess them up pretty good.

Also good luck with the recovery should you survive that two inch wide hole burned through your guts.

The only reason that I can think of for choosing a laser over a conventional gun is if you're in space and need to measure the distance to your target in AU.

They will also look like this.
