Hello People.

I havn't done a write-up for GT4 yet, so as you can see, this is the first.

The race is on Nurburgring, in the Real Circuit Tours championship in the Extreme League. The championship is a single events trophy, so there is a different line-up of AI cars for every race in the Cup.

So on to the race, I will be using a Jaguar XJR-9 tuned to 1112HP. I am using super hards both front back for that extra challenge.

The grid? Yes, it's right here.

-BMW V12 LMP car
-Toyota 7
-Toyota GT-One
-Bentley Speed 8
-Zonda LM Race car.

Quite a nice grid, I'm expecting the 7 to be a tight competitor, and maybe the BMW.

Now, before I get to the race, I just want to explain the fact that I have no idea what any of the corners or straights are called on this track. So, I'll be using the following map found on Google to help me and you read the write-up:

Nice map, eh?

So the the race! *points in random direction*

So as we rolled up to the line, each car set off one by one on their way. My first obsticle was the Zonda, clearly the slower of the AI cars.I followed it around Hatzenbach looking for a clear place to pass, As we came onto the short straight afterwards I looked ahead up the hill and saw 3 cars battling, with no sign of the BMW, must have shot off somewhere? I couldnt pass down the straight, he seemed to stick to the middle of the road and if I overtook on the grass I would be sure to lose control (1000HP+grass+Ring=nope.) I finally managed to pass him through Schwedenkreuz just before the hard right. So now that the Zonda was out of the way, it was now time to hunt the other 4 down. While I was trying to get past the Zonda the rest were pulling away, so I had a bit of catching up to do.

Skipping forward a bit to Bergwerk, as nothing happened between this and the Zonda, I started to pull up behind the others along Kesselchen (My favourite part of the track :dopey: ). The Speed 8, the GT-One and the 7 were battling it out for 2nd, with no sign of the Beemer. So I started by challenging the Bentley, and luckily, he went wide on Karussell! I slipped by quite easily and nudged the GT1 from behind. Just the Toyota to go from this 3-pack, I followed him through the following bends and was suprised by this car, I dont currently own one and never have, but the way it cornered like it was on rails was amazing. I couldn't keep up with it! Before I knew it, he was gone! Vanished! Out of sight!
But...approaching Pflanzgarten....I saw something..A white Toyota 7 parked head on into the wall! Yay! I only just managed to slip by, nudging his rear as his reversed out, I looked back to see what he did, and suprisingly he set off with no sign of the GT-One coming up behind him.

So, It was now time to find the BMW, he was now 9 seconds ahead, and I had a hell of a job to do, including stopping a steaming train of a toyota 7 behind me.So, I rounded Galgenkopf on to the Giant straight, I could see a glimpse of a white dot on the horizon. As I came onto the straight, I noticed my car "jumped" a little as I started accelerating. I looked behind and my entire screen was white with Toyota 7 (man I want this car!). But luckily, the sheer power of my Jag just blew the Toyota into the background.

I started the 2nd lap with a 2 second lead over the 7 in 3rd, and I was 5 seconds down from the Beemer. It was the final lap,but I wasn't going to give up hope. I wanted to push myself as far as I could go to catch that damn BMW.
So, I made my way around the first half of the lap with a little white spec in my rear view mirror, which got bigger round the corners, but smaller down the straights, As I approached Bergwerk. The Toyota 7 nudged me from behind, causing me to go a little late into the corner, causing me to lose 2nd spot. Down the straight, I couldnt find a good passing oppertunity as the Toyota was driving like a maniac. We entered Klostertal and suddenly....

...The BMW? On the Track? Facing backwards? OMG. Luck was shining brightly today. But it began to shine even brighter as the Toyota 7 plowed into the Beemer and found himself spinning off into the grass. I slammed the brakes and slid past the BMW in the middle of the road.
I took the rest of the lap steadily, but suprisingly I only finished 1.5 seconds ahead of the Toyota 7! I guess I took the lap "too" steadily.

Results:

Myself
Toyota 7 - +1.506
BMW V12 LMP - +11.763
Toyota GT-One - + 14.897
Bentley Speed 8 - +23.723
Pagani Zonda LM - +1.13.987 (pitted end of 1st lap)

Nice writeup . I have some experience with the lead cars running away , really on the Ring. I hate when they check out , it's hard to check them back in :(

That's some awesome driving on the Ring. Nice to stay competitive with the Toyota 7! There was some luck with those A.I. cars. Guess they have "all braun, but no brains!"

Hmmm, the same sort of thing happened to me at la Sarthe in the GT World Championship. I, in third place on the last lap in my black R92CP, was just coming out of Indianapolis, and I see the R89CP right in front of me after having a good five second lead on me, and the other R92CP was just a couple of seconds ahead of him, who had a ten second lead over me. I was eventually able to pass the R92CP at the first chicane before the finish line. I think that BMW V12 might have needed tires, because the cars I beat would have made their pit stop at the end of the lap.
