REal LIFE SUZUKA vs.GT5 SUZUKA

Not true comparison. Some of the location are messed up.

2nd row: Left (before chicane) =/= Right (at main straight)

6th row: Left (last left hander of zig zag) =/= Right (its the right hander after hairpin)

look's amazing, although the angles(of the camera, not the track) could've been a bit closer on some...

If you wanna compare real life to video games, try this. If I wreck in real life my car shows it, if I wreck in gt 5 I have no damage. Gt 5 needs to become a real sim.

Nobody now wants limited resources to be spent on such thing. After we sucessfuly got 3D spectators and 3D rims (let 3D rims never be forgotten as single greatest goal in history of racing-games development), we're aiming at weather effects now and changable day/night.

Damage in Gran Turismo is so 2003 issue.. This is 2007 man, wake up.

Pure Class Posting as usual :-)

Couldn't agree more !....

Ah...

The comparisons look good. Apart from the fact that the 2 image isn't comparing of the same straight...But PD have done a good job.

Well that is awesome! The shots looks quite nice, but maybe the comparison isn't that good, but who cares! But really, i hope PD had more time to update the circuits. The Suzuka circuit in GT doesn't have the skybox yet, while the Fuji circuit didn't have those power lines in the background (the first photo)

It just goes to show that PD do a pretty good job at it don't they.

Without being overly picky, the only thing that i can see that they consistantly get wrong is the height of items on the outside of the track. Trees and pylons all seem to be especially low, with pit buildings and grandstands also a little too short. Perhaps their widescreen settings distort and stretch the picture slightly giving the impression that things are not as tall as they should be?

Yepp you're right, check out the second from the bottom. The mast right forward seems much higher IRL than it does in GT5. But i do think it is a little picky to complain about that actually.

It's not architecture, it's a racing game.

Disagreed. Yes, weather effects are really important, but so is damage! I'd even say that from a simulator point of view, damage is more important.

Sure the sun always shines, but you'll never find a scenario where the car wont break if you bang it really hard on the wall.

Just because you couldn't solve it back then doesn't mean we shouldn't now.

Eventhough you probably werent quite as serious as my answer makes you out to be :)

Wasnt there a rumor or something about GT5 having damage for racing cars?

Looks quite close but needs alot of improvement, right now it looks like GT4 in HD... I want to see what the new NEW GT tracks look like, like London, not retouched ones...

But im sure thats just because of the demo..

It IS GT4 in HD.. the track model is exactly the same, it just got new textures.

Looks amazing. But a little dirt and scratches in the textures of the track would be nice, since conpared to the real track the GT5 track looks way too tidy.
